'Vases' Stills (bonus: a messy storyboard)

As promised, here are the reference images and drawings I used for the latest short.

The short is performing much better than I had anticipated and I am just so happy I was able to try this method out and have it be so well received! It's pretty great that the limitation of filming Link's iconic green hat and outfit had me explore this avenue as an option. Fingers crossed for more absurd scenarios.

'On your left' Storyboard

Flipping through my notebook while brainstorming. Here are the sketches I did for 'On your left.' I wanted to show that the runner had plenty of room to go around, but still shouldered him anyway. I don't know if that came across in the final short judging by some comments, but I guess how that goes sometimes 😂 Open to interpretation.

Just wanted to stop by and let you all know that the designs for the new merch have been finalized! I've attached one, but they are all looking so good and I can't wait for you to see all of them!

For the next few weeks, I'll be testing out the design and products, and revamping the site. I will keep you posted on that process.

New Merch designs in the works

I've been working with a talented designer on realizing an idea I've had for new shirt designs: Noble Knight Adventures characters illustrated in the style of tarot cards. 

As a casual observer, tarot cards have always fascinated me, beautiful and classically illustrated cards that would often symbolize an ominous fate or destiny. 'Crushed' Storyboard

Hello everyone! Happy December!

Here are the sketches for the last short 'Crushed.' If you notice the final short is a bit shorter than what was planned, mostly because it was funnier that way-- I will always try to favor brevity! FOV - Chad walk

So in order to use the Mega Chad chin filter (as well as the baby filter used at the beginning of the short), I had to record myself on my phone within the TikTok app. Typically, I record shorts on my DSLR, but since you can't add face effects and filters to pre-recorded clips I had to use the app.

In order to get around TikTok adding a watermark to my saved video. I screen-recorded this playback, cropped out the UI, then keyed out the greenscreen. I was impressed with how good it still...

Stills from the latest short

Had a good time making this one, mostly because it employed a different medium: still images. I've been noticing a few shorts online that have been doing videos that combine both photo and video, and the combination of the two has been hilarious to me. Not only does it mimic the experience of watching someone's Instagram or Snapchat story, but it also has this kind of lo-fi charm to it, like watching someone's recent vacation video they edited with Windows Movie Maker. Storyboards for gnome summon

Forgot to post these! Here are the sketches for the "Spirit summon" short, you'll notice the sketches are getting a bit sloppier as I mostly need them just to remind me of body orientation. For example, "Love letter with Merlin" and "Date with Merlin" are just the dialogue lines written out in my notebook. It seems storyboarding is something I only do if I have the time, or if there's a complicated series of shots where I need a guide for eyeline and body orientation.
