POLL: on changing my video credits
Added 2023-01-30 21:13:45 +0000 UTCRecently, a couple Patrons (and other viewers) have remarked that the spoken credits at the end of my videos are too long – understandable, since they include upwards of 100 names at this point!
People have suggested I replace them with more traditional scrolling-text credits. I don't feel strongly either way, but I'd love to know how y'all feel about the idea, since y'all are the ones being named! I wouldn't want anyone to feel shafted by the change.
So what do you think–

Random selection is a great idea, for when we become too numerous. Perhaps start with new patrons? GeologyHub welcomes new patrons with spoken names, and then has a wall of text with tiers in different font sizes.

2023-07-01 04:00:15 +0000 UTCI voted "do whatever you want", though my nuanced opinion is: you can have a few names spoken if you want to, whether it's a higher tier or you just randomly select a few from the crowd if you don't like that kind of incentive structure. Either way, I am glad I got to have you say zed-aich-ell a few times and I'm happy whatever path you choose to take going forward ^^
