EARLY ACCESS: Fear of Trans Bodies

My latest video is here for your eyes only 👀

"Anti-trans strategy treats transition as disfigurement, and describes our bodies as "damaged". What does it mean for a body to be damaged?"

I have some more to say about this one, so I'll be back in a few days with a post-mortem - no pun intended (kidding, it was intended! Got you)

Until then <3

EARLY ACCESS: Fear of Trans Bodies

That’s a nice way to look at archeology - I hadn’t thought of it that way!

Also, I believe they found out that the issues with the estrogen wasn't the medicating in itself but how the estrogen was made. Because the patriarchal medical culture has never bothered to do adequate research on women and how not to kill them with medications that were either tested on men or never tested at all. I'm sure it's similar with meds for trans people -- "we're going to not going to invest the time into figuring out how to treat you well("we" being the medical system) and then we're going to blame you for the result of your trusting us."

Wow...it's amazing that people are irate that estrogen allegedly gives trans people cancer when nobody's given a shit for decades about menopausal women being given estrogen. Like you said, that's tied into their having minimal value because they're done making babies (and it's not even like our culture sees that as natural - it's also viewed as a deformity or a loss of value.) It's also interesting how young cis couples who decide not to have children are viewed -- it's my impression that the cis male is respected, but the cis female partner is looked at at best as misguided and at worst as some kind of monster.

Fantastic video :) I always find the "digging up your skeleton" jab so silly, because the whole reason we dig up skeletons is out of intense curiosity about how those people lived. Understanding their lived experience to the best of our ability is like the entire point of archaeology! So if the worst happens and society loses its understanding of trans people, I will be happy for my body to be dug up, because it will serve as evidence to a new generation of "deviants" that We Were Always Here.
