Speaking of board games ... this issue has an article that I've been thinking about for a long time. I got my start making solo games when I was a wee child, spending weekends lounging on the floor of my room scrawling out solo board games with paper and pencil. Now here's Mythic, playing board games!
This issue contains:
Discovery Prompts: Add an extra layer of meaning and context to Discovering Meaning by creating flavorful questions that inspire interesting answers.
Mythic As A Board Game Opponent: Mythic game mechanics are given a twist and applied to board games, any board game, allowing Mythic to fill the role of a player at your table.

2025-05-16 21:16:14 +0000 UTClol I was thinking halfway through it that if I had the time I would love to make an actual board game from this! It's not an actual game, but it's inspired by Forbidden Island and Forbidden Desert. I don't like referencing actual products in the magazine; I'm not even sure why, it just doesn't feel right. So I tend to make up roleplaying games and other stuff to reference. That's probably a weird thing to do, but I'm so used to it now lol
