A Quick Writing Update
Added 2024-12-16 20:17:03 +0000 UTCWarlock 2 is coming along nicely. It's going to need another round of editing, though -- just editing, not the edit-and-revise cycle I've been going through. When it went to editing, it was 120,000 words (about 20k less than Book 1). Now it's 140,000 words and I still have several scenes to add. I got a couple what-abouts from my editor (wife) on things that I'd either not thought about or put in for color and wasn't going to follow up on. But if she's expecting resolution on them, then other readers will, so you get more words.
Warlock 3 is at 30,000 words and I'd expect it to wind up being over 100,000 or more at completion, so 1/3 or less done.

Can't wait. Found book 1, saw the pre-order for 2 and realized if I joined I could read 2 earlier lol. Looking forward to 3 and seeing more of their relationships develop. Felicity and Morgan are hilarious to watch develop as he keeps fighting against it.

Like will you do a dungeon diving like Bruce did where he decided the first year into 4 books, and the second year etc. Thinking about it, we got our first coven member in book 1, and potentially our second/maybe third in book 2? So I can see dedication to members for each book, but then it's like how will that correspond with a 4 year college, and then I wonder what overaching villain are we facing. Anyway I love updates like this, it gets me excited for more
