Lazy Listing

What is Lazy Listing?

Lazy Listing is the idea to sell cards for people who don’t want to search for the cheapest card and just buy the next best one.

It's super straightforward, there’s no extra stuff you have to do, it's just listing cards at higher prices and waiting/hoping for a sale. And even though this is so basic and simple to do, it's still one of the most underrated things you can do on the FUT market!

I always lazy list my cards 10% above my aimed sell price and I get a lot of sales that way. I think around 10-15% is the sweet point of making enough profit with fast enough sales.

If you don’t aim to sell your cards then I recommend going for something more aggressive like 20-30% above your aimed sell price. That justifies the “too early” sale as the profits are strong enough to allow you to rebuy in most cases.

Benefits and downsides of Lazy Listing

A clear benefit is getting coins through this. If you keep relisting and get sales, you end up with a lot more and faster profit. You also don’t forget cards somewhere in your club unless your transfer list is already filled. These two points are already so good that I just have to recommend this technique, it makes a huge difference throughout the year! It's also not that uncommon to catch a random high on a card and sell it at a ridiculously high price because your card is already on the market.

But there is also a strong downside to this technique. While you list your cards, you can’t change the prices and sometimes the FUT Market changes super fast and your card price is outdated. But looking at the risk/reward potential, it's always worth a lazy listing compared to just letting a card sit in your club and do nothing.

Different Tricks

There are a few tricks you can use for lazy listing which can increase your sales.

10% Rule

That’s my rule. Whenever I have one of each card and want to lazy list them, I use the 10% rule. It's not massive but the sales are coming faster and the profit is decent. You can set the 10% from your aimed selling price or the current market price if you don’t aim for a specific selling price.

Number Swap

A super basic method to trick people a bit. Works the best with cards above 100k.

You swap the numbers around to make it look like a great deal. A number swap from 124k to 142k is super common. Some people even go so far that they list a card for 340k instead of 240k to grab a nice 100k lazy buyer. I managed to sell a few 100k deals in the past years and these are huge coin boosts.

Fake Cheap

This trick works best if you have the same card multiple times on your transfer list.

You aim to get a larger list of cards around the same price and one to be a tiny bit cheaper than the other ones. That will stick out and it catches some lazy buyers.

As an example, your card is worth 15k and you aim to lazy list around 20k. Throwing a bunch of 20-23k lazy listings and 1x 19k lazy listing between all the others can help the one 19k to sell faster as lazy buyers think that’s a cheap one.

Appealing Numbers

Some numbers are more appealing and people seem to pull the trigger easier.

The most common are 3, 7, and 9, my favorite is 9. I use it to list cards at 59k instead of 60k and to make them appear cheaper even though it's just 1k cheaper. Even better if it's 99k or 199k etc.

Luck

One last thing to say: In the end, this technique depends on your luck. You can't guarantee any lazy buyer and some people just get lucky with the sales while others don’t.

Avoid listing the same cards for the same price and try out some of the tricks above! These tricks can increase your lazy listing sales!
