Mad Surgeon (originals)

It could've been the cover of some vintage weird fantasy comic (from the fifties of last century) about a mad scientist doing all kinds of experiments on innocent people, in order to find the best and most efficient way to rule the world or just to mess with the people.
The theme was quite popular then and I've done remakes of some, my way, in commission.

Yet, it was more inspired by modern plastic surgery which is not a fantasy, but has some horrible similarities with the twisted fantasies from yesteryear nonetheless.

I think they have not yet worked out all the kinks and glitches of messing with natural anatomy, hence the weird expressions patients/clients are stuck with, plastic shimmer on faces when the skin was pulled back to far, massive lips looking like an allergic reaction, but these surgeons are applying it enthusiastically anywhere anyway.

Every once in a while I tend to illustrate my opinion on social topics, especially when it's contrary to what I'm trying to do with my art. 😁Never mind 😁

Thanks! 😁

Really cool! I remember the old paper back covers. Quite risqué, and pretty sexy. Love the gorgeous damsel struggling to get away, the nurse with the smug expression, and the mad doctor! Even with most of his face hidden, the maniacal look in his eyes is awesome!

great scene, and very true in today's twisted opinion of beauty. Luckily the subject is not (yet) misformed.
