Clan Oshus and Clan Jabun
Added 2025-03-10 20:23:03 +0000 UTCHere we have the last two clans of the zorca! It was mentioned in a previous post that all of the zorca clans are based on actual orca types.
There is a sub species? of orca called B-types who live in arctic waters and they're brown/yellow with that nifty looking stripe along their backs! And Jabun are based on another group called D-type orca! According to researchers they are extremely isolated which makes it difficult to gather information on them but they have found out they are one of the most inbred mammals on the planet. Clan Jabun is doing it's best to not follow that fate!
The idea of phantom zorca is inspired by sightings of white orca. This coloration can be caused by leucism or a genetic condition called Chediak Higashi syndrome which affects the nervous and immune system and can cause partial albinism!

Ive been meaning to answer this seriously but the real life orca who have this algae tend to accumulate a build up of it because they don't shed off their skin due to the cold waters they live in. So at times they travel to warmer waters to shed it off, like a little spa trip!
