Xander and Famke doodles
Added 2020-03-19 19:25:47 +0000 UTCSorry for the recent silence! With current events what they are I have been stressing over a lot of personal issues, and had to make some decisions for the sake of my mebtal health. It's been rough and the week isnt over yet, good grief!
I did manage to scribble in some moments inbetween all the work and fuss over here. I could beat myself up over how unrefined these pieces are but I've actually had a lot of fun creating loose and messy work.
So what I was concentrating on lately was outfits for Xander and his girlfriend/wife Famke!
Back in 2010 I was working on a fanfic for FFXII and Xander was created to be this side boss character for the cast. They fight, he loses, they move on. But then I started using him to RP in this fanfic community and added more to his personality and story. A friend who brought in Famke from her FFXI days repurposed her for Ivalice shenanigans.
She escaped her war torn homeland from the lands in FF11 and joined Xander's crew temporarily for the money. When we had them meet it was one of those things where their chemistry was a lot of fun. And we started shipping the two instantly 😄 They tease and banter back and forth, Famke tries to ignore that she is starting to have feelings for him. So when she saves enough money she makes plans to leave. And Xander and his crew go after her asking her to stay as part of their family ❤️
During these sessions I created individual characters for his crew, and what started out as this toss away side boss character, Xander became this sympathetic antagonist (who did die, sadly) with Famke taking on the mantle of Pirate Lord after his passing.
