Amazing episode, the reason why I pay for a podcast! More interviews of well-spoken authors please!

Ordering Cheever book right after my run, will say more later, after my run.

I thought you said Rick Moranis at first…. I was like, the guy from Ghostbusters and Honey I Shrunk The Kids wrote a book called The Art & Craft of the Short Story!? Edit: Come to think of it, Rick Moranis might make a great guest!

Discovered Yates reading The Art & Craft of the Short Story by Rick DeMarinis. He references Yates' "No Pain Whatsoever" in the one of the chapters. That lead me to Eleven Kinds of Loneliness and Liars in Love, and so on. But "No Pain Whatsoever" is no meat on the bone prose, a different kind of depressing story.
