TMNT2 Part 6
Added 2023-01-08 09:03:45 +0000 UTCAt last our saga has come to an end. This is one I will definitely consider revisiting, as I have come to develop a great affection for these versions of the characters, and I would like to play with them again. But we have a lot in the hamper, and a lot of promised sequels, so if we get to it, it won't be any time soon.
This reroll comes might be the furthest afield we've gone from the original film. I was thinking through them, Wizard of Oz might be farther off, but at least that's still in the same general genre. Here we turned a children's film into Die Hard. Memento might go farther afield in terms of plot and characters, but it still feels fundamentally like a version of the same movie. This is just a completely new thing. Am I missing anything? What do you think is the reroll that is farthest from the actual film? Also, do you like when they stay a bit closer to the original, or when they go fully off rails and become their own thing?
Anyway, that's that. We'll be back with the next movie in about a week. This is another sponsored one (pretty much everything we're doing these days is sponsored.) The movie: Clue! (Can you guess who plays who?)

I really loved this one. Probably my 2nd favorite after Friday The 13th. Will the character sheets be available for this at some point?

2023-01-26 22:54:19 +0000 UTCThis has been one of my favorite campaigns, right up there with Goonies and Aladdin. Jon's Leonardo was better than I could have ever hoped. I also played a lot of Leonardo as a kid, even to the point where I named my pet turtle Leonardo (who is alive and well at 29 years of age). I am however not a cop.

2023-01-16 06:55:48 +0000 UTCI think E.T. went pretty out there from the original, it's hard to gauge what does it the "most"; like you're saying, there's different ways for it to diverge. It really depends on the movie for me how much I'm wanting it to stay true to the source... Like i don't remember TMNT at all so i was pretty much along for the ride on this one, I'm loving the whole military base incursion and the Werner Herzog bad guy lol. But if you guys did something with a really recognizable storyline like LOTR, there are definitely certain setpieces I'd want to see you get to and then do something totally wacky and different with. A good example was Hocus Pocus-- the casting was so fantastic in that reroll, and i was really hoping to see those versions of the witches having really goofy 20th century fish-out-of-water moments. Instead there's this whole OTHER thing happening. Which I'm not really complaining about, Kara's part in that was delightful. Anyways. Love you guys. Thanks for sharing your gooberiness with the rest of us π

My first-instinct guess for casting: Ms. Scarlet: Kara Ms. White: Joz Mrs. Peacock: Carolyn Prof. Plum: Scott (I want to hear Scott attempt a Christopher Lloyd impression) Col. Mustard: Jon Mr. Green: Andy And GM would be Paulo, whose Tim Curry impression I eagerly await.
