Some pre-2022 Gratitude!

Whoosh, there goes another year! Am I just getting old, or was that the quickest one yet? 

At any rate, I hope everyone had as great a 2021 as possible, or at least that it was slightly better than 2020!

First off, an apology: I was overly ambitious in saying I'd get Kari's festive story done by the end of the month. It's nearly there: just need a bit of tweakage. I should have it posted on Monday at the latest. There'll be a pic to go with it too, though that may come later in the week.

Before the year finishes, I've decided to do that newfangled gratitude thing, and to give special mentions to a few of the many people who inspired me in 2021!

Samster
There's a scene in the History Boys where they say that one of the best things about reading is when you come across something - some thought or idea - that you'd thought was unique to you. This was definitely the case for me many years ago, when I came across a picture of a plump and glamorous business blonde on the Dimensions forum in her tight office outfit, eating a box of chocolates at her desk. What a thrill to find someone who shared my passion for overfed corporate cuties! Of course I instantly fell in love with Tracey, and the stories that went with the pics, and I have been loving all Sam's stuff ever since. More than anything, it was his work that inspired me to start writing and illustrating, and my enduring envy of his colours and backgrounds in particular makes me want to to improve my own pics! So thanks, me ol' mucka!

Supercake Studio
One of the wittiest and most charismatic WG writers around. Supercake's stories and comics inspire in me a healthy envy that makes me want to run to my computer and start writing and rendering. No one does an "ugh, I really overate" expression as perfectly, and I love the wide range of personalities and inventive descriptive writing in Supercake's stories.

Mollycoddles
Put simply: without Laurie, Alice and Jen, there would be no Abby, Gemma and Holly. The Alice Saga more than deserves its legendary status amongst weight-gain fans, and Molly still produces some of the paciest and raciest writing around, even after such an epic number of chapters!

An apparently new artist, whose incredible images capture the kind of figures and haughty and pompous expressions I imagine my characters having - especially Amelia (see the girl on the right here) and Angelica. This pic in particular has inspired an Angelica scene in my head which I can't wait to put into words!
