That's fine and everything. I would rather have new content as well. It just something I think worth bringing up. Cause when I checked around (f95 forum), and there are definitely some new people who had trouble with the game since they don't even know the phone existed (or Nicole for that matter) without a walk through. And I think this might be a common issue for new player down the line. So maybe just something like a notebook to start with or something to at least guide the player until they get the phone could prove very useful imo.

2019-04-18 04:35:32 +0000 UTCI added a few more lines before the open world begins to really make it clear that the phone is important and hopefully players won’t get confused. I would rather put dev time into new content.

2019-04-17 08:51:21 +0000 UTCHmm, how about the MC getting it from Amada instead? Like when the open world section become available just have her hand the MC his phone like a secret present or something? But that would means the earlier events might need to be change like Nicole, etc. for them to fit, which would means more re-work so I don't know if it worth it for you or not. But, It just that I re-play the game recently and it seem a bit weird that you had to go with Nicole's route to acquire such important item. I means right now, since I already got the phone and I love Nicole, I don't really care much.

2019-04-16 22:08:36 +0000 UTCHmm, I know you mentioned before that the reason why the game is super linear at the start is for backward comparability. But it still feel very weird/jarring, especially since the phone seem so important (and you had to play through Nicole's route for it). I felt that you should had gotten the phone the moment you done with the intro (then everything truly become open from there and you wouldn't be lost at all on what to do). Of course this would make it so that all the old saves won't work any more, but if you need to make any major change to the game that would make it no longer backward compatible, now would be the best time, cause one the game had way more content, people would be more reluctant to restart. Adding more mechanic to hep the game better while breaking old save is very common for this type of game imo. Especially since it's still in its early state. Maybe it just me but I would rather worry about a good and polish game than whether my old save will work or not.
