HD-chan's Tech Tips

A brief update post made on the recommendation of my lawyers as evidence that Hyperdeep is in fact being worked on.

In fact, this time round I have achieved two relatively significant technical milestones:

First engine modification

Yes, for the first time in the development of Hyperdeep, a feature has necessitated the modification of Unreal Engine's source code.

Generally speaking, most professional development studios working in Unreal do make changes to the engine source, but indie developers, by-and-large, do not. I have then joined a rather elite cabal of C++ wizards whose imaginations have outgrown even such a gargantuan engine as Unreal.

To do what? Translucency!

For those of you not up to speed on graphics programming, rendering translucent objects is a surprisingly nightmarish part of any game rendering pipeline, and brings with it many awkward limitations and problems. This is doubly true of stylized games, like Hyperdeep.

In order to support translucent materials on clothing items, while still maintaining HD-chan's highly stylized skin shading approach, I had to repurpose a shader originally designed for rendering large bodies of water and reorder some parts of the rendering pipeline to make sure skin-postprocessing was completed before any translucent items were drawn on top.

This was, frankly, horrendous, but it's over now and I'm very pleased with the results.

Particles

Within Unreal, particle systems represent somewhat of a separate discipline of game development. Generally being executed on the GPU, particles are subject to a different set of constraints than most game objects, but get the benefit of fast, concurrent computations to achieve some pretty wild effects.

Wild effects like cum.

Remember months and months ago when I posted about how developing cum simulations was my own personal Sisyphean hell? Well the boulder rolled down to the bottom of the hill again.

But look what I rolled back up!

Full-precision mesh collisions! Dynamic, gravity-aware, particle sliding! Superior performance to any previous implementation!

A game about blowjobs is a game about cum, and a game about cum deserves the best fucking cum that my weeks and weeks and weeks of toil can produce!

in the next update could you possibly add some clothing for hands? like lace/latex gloves and have the option to make them short, medium, or long in length. Also since there's already a blindfold could we possibly see a ring gag in the future?
