Summoning the Citadel: A Special World-Building Fireside Chat

Since Brennan was away becoming a baby daddy during much of Chapter 2 and the citadel arc was chock full of extremely fun building-of-da-world, we thought it would be fun to have a whole SPECIAL EPISODE dedicated to the world building of The Wizard the Witch and the Wild One. I am already so sick of typing "world building." From now on I will call it... Debbie. So here the gang has gathered to answer all your Debbie questions! But BE NOT AFRAID, it's not JUST a behind the scenes Debbie talk. We go SO FAR past Debbie. We drop some MAJOR lore. Major. Lore.
Debbie. Turns out it's fun to type Debbie. Debbie. Debbie. Debbie. Let's get some Debbies going in the chat, fam!

Interesting how the requirements for making a Tamori (the spell needs to have been cast many, many times; enough to be streamlined) runs counter to the Axiom of Proliferation which says that spells are more powerful when they're closely guarded. We knew that axiom is a crime against magic and this evidence strongly supports that I think. Tamori are clearly much more powerful than their base forms.

I'd go with the Wizard Sunder to rend these systems of domination, Wizard Stroke bc you never know if it'll be a gentle caress or a death blow, and finally Wizard Song because I love making music, and I remember the way The Rain Road frightened the wizards of the Empire, completely beyond their control.

Last thing: the parallel between the citadel entrance exam and SAT's is very funny to me

Also I love the discussion of "this person could be the best in the world at this thing but they simply dont want to." Because I think about that concept all the time

Slowly catching up on all the episodes I couldn’t listen to before and Brennan describing the whole tower debacle, how do you structure the civilization within it and it really made me think of the game the Chants of Sennar, how to make a tower with isolated floors but also allow for that connection. It is a beautiful build!!

You know, now I'm curious (and I paused to type this comment so it might be answered later in the video): if Tamori are not static, could someone conceivably make a Simulacrum Tamori to get around the inability of Simulacra to learn and grow?

I can only imagine Citadel being spelled Sitadel because of their obsession with S names

Sight would be a rad diviner/invocation wizard who can find you anyone/thing for an equally significant price.
Scrap, an illusionist with a chip on their shoulder and not well recognised but can get in and out anywhere.
Shore, a conjuring wizard who can pull anything into their tides to their command. Just too much fun to come up with.
