Hey there everybody! How’s things?

I hope you’re doing well! May’s almost here and we’re chugging along. Things aren’t going as fast as I’d have liked them to, but I’m only human and I’m doing my best! Still, thing ARE going forward, and I’m happy with that, so let’s see what’s up..

Announcements and Business

As usual, I would like to send out my thanks to everyone who supports my Patreon!

I’d like to be able to support myself with just my comics sometime in the future and every little bit is a step to making that happen. If you like Various Happenings or just like my characters in general, then anything you could put towards it would not only mean a lot to me but it would directly help me in making more of the things you want to see!

As I’ve said before, I’ve got some changes coming at the end of this month,I’ll start posting about them this week and have everything updated by or on Friday, so you all will know what you’re getting into come the beginning of next month and can decide if you want to up your pledges or remove them.

Sketch on the Spot is back! It will be at 8PM EST, on Friday, April 28th and continue as usual! ^v^ See you there!

I talked about the stuff for SotS and my commissions last week, so here’s a cut/paste of what I said then. If you already know about it, feel free to skip forward.

After I clear out my commission queue, I’m making an important change to my commissions/SotS arrangement. It’s become clear to me that I cannot adequately do the comic, do commissions and run SotS all at the same time. I want to keep the comic updating regularly so that means I’m going to have to drop either doing commissions or doing SotS. So, since I don’t want to do either of those permanently, I’m going to run them in two month blocks so the people who want SotS get a chance to get those, and the people who want bigger commissions get a chance to do that. That way I’ll get to see what’s more profitable and I won’t be super swamped all the time and keep having to put things off or make changes.

When I get close to getting done with my queue, I’ll put up a poll so that you all can decide which you want to go first, and then I’ll settle in.

I wish I could maintain both, but since I’m trying to keep up the comic once a week, I need to be able to focus stuff down and doing SotS & the comic means I only have one day a week to do anything else if I don’t want to edge into stuff with friends and family on the weekends.

Now just to be clear, I’m not STOPPING doing either. Not yet. I’m just giving them their own space so I can stay on top of things.

So we’re going to give that a shot and see how it goes!

The lines are done! I’m working on the background stuff now and I was talking with Middy about what needs to be taken care of. The background stuff is kind of boring and I have to finagle some stuff with layers and merging before I can really work on it much more so I won’t be streaming that this week until I get started with the character coloring.

I got a lot of comments on the last page and though I wasn’t entirely happy with how it came out, I’m glad you all really seemed to enjoy it!

I’ve been doing better lately, I think. I’ve been a lot more free with my emotions and letting things out, so I feel like I’m getting healthier in that way.

I’m trying to reduce stress in my life and just have fun.

Money’s going to be a little tight, but I did manage to pay my taxes and my gas bill. Hopefully the cable will be a little lenient to give me time to pay some in from SotS this week.
