On starting a Discord server...
Added 2025-02-21 21:59:21 +0000 UTCI think it’s about time to start considering starting a Discord server, and I’d love to hear your input!
I have a few ideas for the different channels. Up until now, I’ve been responding to tutorial questions through YouTube comments, but having dedicated channels for each build could be much more helpful. People could post screenshots of any issues they’re having, allowing others to chime in with advice and solutions.
Also, a general discussion channel, an inspiration channel for sharing images of architecture, artwork etc., a channel for showcasing your builds. Stuff like that.
While I’m familiar with being part of Discord communities, I don’t have experience running a server myself. I know you can link Patreon tiers to Discord, and having moderators is definitely something I’ll look into.
If you have experience managing Discord servers or just some general thoughts, I’d really appreciate your feedback!
On another note, the tutorial for The Emerald Cathedral is finished, and I’ve got a new video coming up soon where I’ll be discussing one of my key building principles.

2025-04-02 07:26:11 +0000 UTCA discord would be helpful. I have one for my live stream community and friends to hangout in. I did not build it myself, one of my friends helped me build it. There are also a lot of youtube tutorials out there for setting up a discord which are pretty easy to follow. I can't wait to join your discord or help in its construction any way you might need.

2025-02-22 16:52:39 +0000 UTCDiscord would be great, might also speed up response times with the community. I was helping a friend with his discord recently as a mod and helped improve the look of his discord to be more professional. If you create a discord i would 100% join.
