Thank you for your reaction. I am by no mean "team Alan" but Can you imagine being with someone and they fall out of love with you? as far as we know up to this point Alan did not do anything to change Wen's feeling, Wen just no longer loves him or realized that he was only invested in the relationship for Alan sake and never truly his own. How devastated Alan has to feel just to hear that and have to come to terms with it. HE WANT TO MAKE IT WORK. but does not realize he cant make Wen love him back. Wen caused more damage thinking that they could end their relationship without putting some distance between he and Alan. Li-Ming and Uncle Jim's relationship does not surprise me Its typical growing pains and the Parent/guardian not trusting the child to make rational decision. Jim feels like he need to decide what and how Li-Ming should live and Ming is bucking the system at every turn. At this point Wen need to clean up his baggage so he can move on freely. Jim need to focus on what his own life is missing and cut Li-Ming some slack. Jim is coming from a good place he just sucks at communication. Thank for allowing out thoughts and comments.

I’m conflicted I understand both side 😭

yeah but at the same time, he was giving Alan hope and holding on to Alan...

Thank you for reacting. Damm it's barely February & this is already my favorite series. I love it soo much because it doesn't even have to be a BL I will relate to it regardless of gender. There's a part of each character I can relate to & that's why I love it soo much. I feel everyone's emotions since I've been there before through my own experience or seeing someone close to me go through those things. I've been in Wen's position having to live with someone because I can't afford to live on my own even if it's toxic but I have no one else to ask for help from. I've been in Jim's position where I put everyone's problems first & just let mine consume me. I've been in Li Ming's literally raised by my aunt & I could never tell her my problems because I felt like a burden even though she tried her best to give me everything. I've seen Alan's although you know the person doesn't love you anymore you still want to be with them & try to make it work until it becomes so toxic. I've seen Gaipas where they would do anything for their crush just for them to give them a chance. I've even felt a bit of Heart's where I was overprotected & sheltered from the world for things that I've been through as a child & my aunt didn't want to put me through more so she thought sheltering me from all the bad was best. For Jim & Li Ming's relationship I don't really blame either maybe because I've been through that with my aunt so I understand but also disagree with both points of view. Their both trying their best although they're not perfect & are making mistakes. Li Ming wants to do things on his own but he's still under Jim's care so the school, Leng, Heart's parents... still have to tell Jim when it comes to Li Ming so although we think he's old enough Jim is still technically responsible for him & what he does will always come back to Jim. I don't think Jim's parenting is perfect & I hate Heart's parents' parenting but I also feel like if Heart & especially Li Ming thought what they did was okay they wouldn't hide it. Li Ming lied when he said he was going to someone else's house not Heart's & I don't think he had to lie about that if they already know he works there & they also have to sneak out. Jim had to be at Heart's house because of course he's his guardian so Leng had to tell him & Heart's parents would want him there. I didn't always like the fact that I had to depend on my aunt but she would tell me until you live under my roof you abide by my rules so best belief when I graduated high school I moved many states away lol. It's a complicated relationship you're both basically forced upon but you still do your best. I also don't think Li Ming is completely open with Jim either. It took Jim being called to school & asking him what he wanted to do for him to tell hin he wanted to go to the US & yes he always asks Jim about Wen but he never tells Jim anything about Heart & he lies about going to see him. Jim's character is written soo beautifully tragic he is being consumed with his problems plus taking care of everyone else so even though it might seem like he doesn't open up to Li Ming that's just how he is with everyone else even with Leng like there's literally no one he sits with & tells them what he's going through. It's probably because they all have their own shit going on too that Jim has to even help them with. Even if Jim didn't want to Leng came to him when he found out he was pregnant, Wen is coming to him because he has nowhere to go so even though he tried pushing him away he still has to accept him in the end. He is probably traumatized about his ex cheating on him to bring someone like Wen into his life. Although Wen didn't technically cheat it doesn't look the best in someone like Jim's eyes. I can't wait to see the growth & hopefully the relationships get better. I just love how raw & real it is. It's written, directed, & acted out soo beautifully.

I did see a comment somewhere that was really funny but true. Jim is obvious the type who picks up strays and helps out with an unwanted pregnancy, raises his nephew, gives free food at the end of the night instead of making a profit, so of COURSE he's gonna let Wen stay with him. Also, I had the same thoughts I think it's gonna be a camera trick...you will see Jim seeing them kiss, but NOT a direct shot of them kissing. GMMTV have got to be saving the "first kiss" shot for MSP, because they know people are waiting for it!

On Jim and LiMing, I usually sided with Jim in many moments with LiMing. But this ep, I fully cannot side with Jim on his interaction with LiMing. I understand he feels that LiMing should have been more mindful with Heart but the conversation they had at home was def a case of Jim being "unbendable" as Wen called him once. Also, I feel like Jim could have defended LiMing at Heart's house when the parents accused him of being a liar or putting words in Heart's mouth. Jim wants LiMing to come to him and talk to him, but he's not putting the effort to listen or hear LiMing when he is in the right, like he was in this case.

I saw somewhere else, where someone sad Wen was "not a good person" and TBH, I think too many folks are invested at Alan or Wen being "evil" or bad, but in life it's NOT always the case. Although I get it's a common trope in BL, but I like the realism of this series so far, on classism, love and relationship. P'Aof and P'Best as screenwriters did TOP NOTCH writing on this one! BTW, that was P'Aof as the waiter who asked Alan/Wen if they wanted him to "rekindle their flame" Wen's answer "No Need. We're done." was "chef's kiss" perfect! That's great writing!

nellybell47

I like the idea of Li Ming taking the entire walk to the boba tea stand talking up Wen cause he's TOTALLY a Wen/Jim shipper...LOL. I love the scene with Win LiMing and Heart as well. One other thing, I like Gaipa, but to be fair, Jim has shown more interest in Wen with some mixed signals than he has with Gaipa. Yet Gaipa still actively pursues Jim, just in less direct ways. I mean if he didn't like Jim, I'm don't know that anyone would put up their property as collateral for someone who even being close "like family" isn't family, unless mom already considers him family cause of Gaipa's feelings for him.

nellybell47

I actually really like that they didn't give a "reason" why Wen fell out of love with Alan. Like I said above it allows the viewer, based on their own experiences choose how they feel about it. But also, sometimes there is no ONE thing that can cause a relationship, even a long term one to end...it's not always cheating or abuse, sometimes partners, even MARRIED partners, do drift apart and one or both partners decide to stick it out upto or util one or both decide it's over and leaves or dies. Either way...BOTH are miserable.

nellybell47

IM SORRY BUT WHYYAAAAH IS EVERYONE TELLING MY GUY WEN TO MAKE THINGS CLEAR WHEN HE OVER THERE CRYING AND REPEATING MANY TIMES HE DOESNT LOVE ALAN NO MORE 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

Shaarleenjeon

I really feel for Heart..it’s the way his mom couldn’t even look him in the eyes to talk to him, she had to keep looking at li ming just because she couldn’t understand what he said..I don’t think his parents are bad people but this was a wake up call they both fucking needed. after his accident it’s clear they wanted to continue life like normal but they really can’t when something like that happens it changes his whole life and in turn changes yours they as parents needed to step up, but instead ignored it..it’s so sad and makes it seem like the feel he’s bad or wrong.. such a stunning episode I just love what they are tackling here

Megan Linart

BTW, P'Aof and P'Best are credited for the screenplay. And how about P'Aof being the waiter asking to "rekindle the flame", makes me wonder if he wrote that line...LOL

nellybell47

Also, not for nothing...but it's fun seeing Mix in regular sized clothes and not the usual billowing shirt/undershirt clothing he wears most often. I am here for LiMing's obvious shipping of Uncle Jim and Wen!

nellybell47

lordt...what if Alan's final act to Jim is to tell him that "maybe one day he'll fall out of love with you too"...come on now...if we were Alan we'd be as petty as he was at the bank too...lol. I do think though that Alan will contact Gaipa's mom and get Gaipa who will go down to the bank instead of his mom. Also I think Wen was asking about bank loan for himself since he's looking for a condo

nellybell47

OMG...such a good episode. Wen and Alan...wow! Mix and First were TOP NOTCH!!! I've never actually watched the First before but I'm officially a fan. And wow either Mix is great with ANY pairing or First is...but the chemistry!!! I just finished watching so I've got to process a bit more...but wow. The Heart/LiMing stuff was great too, but for me...the Wen/Alan ep made the most impact for me! I'll process the Heart/LiMing stuff later though. I do love how if you are being fair, you come away from the Alan/Wen relationship not taking anyone's side.

nellybell47

I have to constantly remind myself that I love First, but I really want to smack Alan so many times in this episode. Guess that goes to show how great an actor he really is. Loved you taking off the earrings and getting ready to fight!! Hilarious!!
