Dry Canal Station feat. Gareth Dennis
Added 2025-06-27 11:05:38 +0000 UTCFor this week's bonus episode, we're joined by friend of the show Gareth Dennis to discuss the upcoming 'infrastructure reforms' that could obviously make a huge difference, if done intelligently, but... don't seem to be shaping up that way. Which comes as an enormous surprise to all of us.

2025-06-28 14:48:49 +0000 UTCZero interest rates just made this even worse in some international cities like London, NYC, Los Angeles where real estate just became a straight up pure store of value where it sits there not even rented out as if it was some kind of bank savings account.

2025-06-28 14:45:12 +0000 UTCRiley’s mortgage point is critical and not talked about nearly enough even on TF. Making people’s houses the primary asset of your economy has all sort of negative consequences. See also the fact that housing is always only an asset and never a cost so it’s always good when it gets more expensive.
