I decided to start sharing more of what ends up on the "cutting room floor" with you. As a lot of this sort of thing never makes it to my social media accounts. This is from yesterday's sessions examing the various features on the sun.

And that same area after images are stacked, sharpened, and contrast is adjusted:

As you can see, the processing is an integral part of revealing the complex structure of the sun. It requires carefully running sharpening algorithms to resolve the details in the spicula and these active regions.
