The continuation of The Kostrov Traces Illustrations and this time we're at the very beginning of book 1, where we first meet Rick, or Kyran, as Kendle calls him, and learn about his job as a prolific street fighter. He's keeping a secret, though. A few different secrets from a few different individuals that are making this travel plan of his a lot more urgent than he may like it to be.

They just called him that because they didn't know his real name, and he'd definitely be extremely upset if anyone outside of the Underground called him that 💔 nobody besides them really used it so it was very Underground-based thing, not a full on nickname that was often used :D Rick is actually a nickname! That's mainly what he's called, but if someone wanted to be very professional, they'd probably call him Richard (which he'd also be upset about since he doesn't like that name either ahhaha)

2025-01-22 04:33:09 +0000 UTC😭😭❤️❤️ they did but that sadly didn't fix the problem because the person that did it was essentially in the same shit Rick is in, to make it more tragic 💔 And there actually is a reason for Kyran specifically! Rick refused to tell anyone down in the Underground his name, so Kendle called him Kyran to just keep him happy haha, but Kyran actually has several meanings. Kyran means like the "dark haired one" in Irish (Since Kendle was Irish) which refers to like Rick's hair color, but it also means like a "beam of light", which refers to the whole golden goose thing where Kendle essentially considered Rick his chance at success and a way to get further up the hierarchy pole down there.
