Kostrov Traces is just one long, continuous progression of Rick's shellshock and it's genuinely the most heartbreaking thing T.T And it's oddly difficult to draw, it's upsetting :,) He's a very expressive character, and usually he's very good at being kinda sassy and dramatic under stressful situations, but the ending man :( It's like his personality just drains out of him and is replaced with this shell of a human
I actually think we may have more illustrations in the books than I first anticipated! I was worried, since these are fairly long books, that I just won't have time to finish all the illustrations I wanna do, but it's going quite well for now, these aren't taking wayy too long!
The thing about these books (and I mean the entire Rick-centered bit of Grimport Misfits, so Fiasco Elite and Kostrov Traces both included) is that they mainly follow Rick's memoirs. It's not written in first person, but has excerpts from his writings to FJ and their family. Thus, I think it would be kind of cool to include as many drawings and little eastereggs, like little sketches, drawings, some hidden writings, that would make it look almost like I imagine his memoirs looking <3
But we'll see hahah I still have no idea how I'll typeset this at all but I'm hoping to figure it out sometime this year Aahaha

Ahahaha 🥲 I wish I could offer comfort but really the only good thing about kostrov traces is that it's just the first trilogy in a series, so they still get to have their happy ending 😭 bahaha at least we'll all cry together ❤️❤️ I'M SOO happy you're excited about it all!

I don't really plan on writing anything besides The Grimport Misfits world, and writing is just a side gig of mine, so I just felt traditional publishing wouldn't really necessarily be a good fit, at least not at the time
