♦ TKT Trilogy Illustrations Test ♦

I'm not sold on this one but we shall see, it's kinda sorta how I draw my tattoos and the type I feel fits the vibe of the books, but I gotta draw a few more tests before I settle on anything. For now, I think I'll go back to the usual colorpages-style, just make it black and white, and mix it with this stylized rendering ❤️
I'm basically planning on making the hardcovers have these red accented illustrations, and let the paperbacks stay black and white
I'm gonna be working throughout the week, just testing different things to see what fits best and update you guys!

THANK YOUU 🥰❤️ i'm so glad!! The rendering here was soo much fun, I hope i get to keep a lot of it for the books too ♡ And yess! I'll be doing the whole typeset/design of the books, covers and illustrations, to kinda keep them in line with the project esthetics I already have in place ❤️ the text inside will mainly be what I focus on when it comes to professional help with, just to comb it through so it's as good as possible for the readers ❤️

2024-12-16 09:28:55 +0000 UTCTHANK YOUU 🥹❤️ i'm loving the textures so much, I feel they fit the book style so much more than plain colorpages i usually do ❤️ and yees! 😍❤️ I mainly design them for my own tattoos, though I totally wouldn't mind doing them for other people! The tattoos I have/plan to have are this combination of heavily textured blacks and reds and realism + abstraction, so they're a bit different than this even, but they're soo fun to make ❤️❤️🥹🥹 Totally tho, that's kinda what I think too! I'm so glad you think the whole mixing thing might work too ahh, I'm for sure gonna make some more tests this week until I find something that's both efficient and looks nice ♡

That’s so neat! Is it just your own tattoos you create, or have you designed them for other people? And even if you’re not quite happy with this and you don’t end up keeping this exact style for the book illustrations, at least it’s still a great starting point to work off of. I can’t wait to see what direction you go with this!! I think mixing this type of rendering with the style of the colour pages already sounds like a good idea to explore 👀❤️
