I'm thinking of eventually maybe doing some tutorials for fur and things like that when I'm finally done with shop prep and a lot of other things if there will be interest for that <3 I usually approach painting of anything, but especially fur and hair, in few steps - the blocking of the shapes - the refining of the blocking - detailing - highlights - extra shading. It makes fur a lot easier to understand for me when i build it up, almost like clay. It also helps to think of fur like shapes instead of strings, which allows me to only give details to certain parts that are going to be important for the over all look of the painting, while leaving less important parts blurry or unrefined.

AHH the color work is such a good idea too! That's something I've struggled with in the past so this is such a good tutorial idea 😍❤️ i used to do all my stuff black and white so coloring was suuper difficult to figure out at first, so this means the world to me!! 🥰❤️ and I'm so glad you find the whole process relaxing to watch, I really love looking back at these too ❤️ HAHAH YEE SEE i used to do the same thing for hair and fur and everything, just one strand at a time, trying to build stuff from detaild up, but this way seriously saves up so much time and saves you from carpal tunnel immediately haha ❤️🔥

Way with colour that I love so much. Also just seeing the process is really just so fun and relaxing. I love this so much! It’s a good point to make about think of doing the fur as whole shapes instead of individual strings. lol cause I’d totally have just one strand the whole way and that would have taken maybe 259 years for a coat that Rick has, haha
