"I'LL DESTORY THE WORLD..." ERNST'S RESOLVE! I'd say, while it might be extreme, that outcome would be justified as a world that requires child soldiers to undergo a suicide mission (for their second time) to save humanity, and it ends with their unfortunate deaths, just means that it shouldn't be allowed to exist. I don't doubt he could accomplish this task, it was portrayed really well that he'd stop at nothing, and I respect the dude for it. Still ecstatic he was an actual decent human being, someone who truly cares about the Eighty Six without using them for ulterior motives... I daresay, he's deserves the "Best Papa" title for the show, not that there's much competition though!
I doubt I'll be ready for whatever happens next, but this "calm before the storm" atmosphere, up until the mission's start & the war began anew, certainly doesn't help much... though I do appreciate the slower pace, it felt like every scene had more time to breathe.
On a side note, the character writing is *chef's kiss* when it comes to making everyone realistic & multi-dimensional, and I can't praise it enough... cause I was very surprised what we learned about Richard!
