Sometimes you'll have to cross fists to make each other understand, but that doesn't diminish the bond you share... and it can result in fantastic fight scenes with crazy twists & turns, like Superb Songs, naked fighting, and phenomenal accompanying soundtracks!
Still love watching Gungnir acknowledge who its rightful wielder is... the subsequent transformation scene, while we've definitely seen it before, gave me so much hype, it was unreal! Only Ame-no-Habakiri surpassed it this time around, but that shouldn't surprise anyone who knows me & my thoughts thus far~
On a side note, damn you, Fine, and the fact you've learned your lesson from S1's events... never would've guessed I'd feel that way, so props to the series for making that happen.

I do keep an open mind with characters, as best as possible, and it's not like Kirika/Shirabe made the worst first impression... it just took a hot minute for them to gain enough traction for me to care about them, and when I started to feel that way, it definitely stuck. Still think I prefer them over Maria now, which says a lot cause she started off ahead amongst them! Certainly makes the characters feel realistic when they do/say stupid shit, all stuff that teenagers/young adults could/would definitely do since you didn't think before you spoke/act or didn't have the necessary experience. I appreciate they don't write Hibiki as if she's as mature as a 30 y/o, makes the whole show experience more enjoyable imo We don't see it often but damn it, I love Armor Purge, so I hope it becomes a recurring seasonal move.... almost as much as I want Ame-no-Habakiri to return with every season when Tsubasa needs to do something incredibly cool!

2023-03-01 14:43:35 +0000 UTCHappy to see you come around to Shirabe and Kirika as the season progressed they're a lot of fun :) Glad you brought up that the show makes the girls really feel like they're teenagers/young adults and totally agree. Something I think the show does pretty well, even back in S1 with Hibiki trying to "replace" Kanade it's obviously not the right thing to do but feels like a dumb inexperienced thing to say. Armor Purge is my favorite move of Chris's, it just feels very much in-character for her to just explode her armor as a weapon when she can't use a weapon.
