UPDATE: The Fruitless Quests of Nabiu and The Something Series

Hello everyone!

We wanted to give you all an update.

I have been working Thurs – Saturdays (though Saturdays are usually short days) on The Fruitless Quests of Nabiu while dedicating Monday – Wednesday on the Something Series.   We are still working on the full version of Something About Pokemon: Legends Arceus. Funymony is working away on backgrounds and I’m working on the lineart.   

Lollergator finished a beautiful storyboard for another project I want to release later this year, possibly early 2024. It’s not a Something Series video, but we think it’ll be fun! Maybe we’ll share a peek of her boards later on.  

We are in the process of finalizing the contract for an original soundtrack for The Fruitless Quests of Nabiu. I want to get a prologue out and then the full episode later on. I am considering not using voice actors because I might only be able to do an episode or so a year and it might be hard to keep people on for 4 to 5 years. I was considering going the direction of Undertale and other games, using sounds to convey voices, let me know what you all think?

The Mrs and I are taking Tuesday and Wednesday off next week and the following week my Grandma will be in town for two weeks. I will work during that time, but not as much as I am now. I want to get Pokemon Legends: Arceus out this month, but I most likely won’t get anything out for April. That does not mean we aren’t working on anything, I’ll be posting updates regularly. I’m just don’t think we’ll have a video ready to be published in April.   We don’t get a video out every month, but we do try to, and I realize that’s putting extra pressure on us and taking some of the joy out of the work. I want to keep a consistent work schedule and work flow, but it looks like we need to let go of the monthly deadline.
