Regarding pledges, MEGA and passwords...
Added 2025-08-25 16:54:56 +0000 UTCI'm posting this after I've noticed on more than one occasion that individuals having pledged to support me and my works since changing my methods of distributing MEGA links and the passwords to access said links, have some kind of issue regarding this method and wind up being dissatisfied to some degree.
As I've stated in my FAQ (which, granted I can accept if there are those that have not done so, and as someone who has also glossed over more than one FAQ in my life, I'm also guilty of, in full disclosure...), I will not disclose MEGA links and passwords on Patreon; I'm not going to go into full details here, but I'll just say Patreon's security measures against nefarious actors are, to put it mildly, insufficient for my tastes and peace of mind.
I fully acknowledge that the current method I'm using for supporters to access to my works can be a pain the in the ass (and it certainly is on my end...), and I've lost my fair share of supporters due to such measures, but until Patreon figures out a way to tighten up it's leaky security measures and/or I find a better idea (if you've got any, feel free to share...) this is just how things are going to be, unless there's a better way of handling such things.
For those who have put up with this less-than-ideal solution, you have my thanks.
