86 (Eighty Six) S1 Episode 10 Reaction

Seriously, that montage of video clips & photographs from Fido's perspective towards Spearhead's journey, start to finish, was straight up unfair... the feels, the pain, the questions... it's just too much, you know? Still love & hate that I get so attached to these characters, that I find myself interested even after they've passed away. I didn't expect to care so much about the group's "dutiful dog" as well, but apparently, all it takes is one episode, a montage, and a shocking twist to break my heart.
I do appreciate spending the entire episode with the five remaining members of Spearhead as they explore outside District 86, enjoying what their freedom can offer in this dystopian world, from the desolate towns to the beautiful scenery shots... though I still feel anxious about what'll happen next to them, they'll eventually run out of fuel & other resources as they fight or avoid the Legion after all.

Oh shit... the first half was anime only?? I do appreciate it being added, it flowed really well as you said, but it really does hurt that Fido's life flashed before his & our eyes... I appreciate the clarification about the tag carving, should've expected him to do Rei but I guess it slipped my mind tbh I can't wait, one day, to find out more about Fido/his series of machines as the series progresses!

And the first half of the episode being anime only flowed really well for storytelling, then transitioning to LN content with that Fido POV. But yes, everyone has a similar reaction whenever they find out Fido gets offed at the end. And Fido being their personal time capsule of memories definitely hurts. The tag Shin was carving was Rei’s so it’s safe to assume that recording happened after they defeated him. Fido himself is an interesting machine because he’s not Legion but as you saw from those tidbit flashbacks, he’s definitely more; to say would be going into LN territory, so that’s more the creators teasing people that have read the LNs.
