Manual Transmission 5.8.0

Enhanced support!

Manual Transmission now fully supports GTA V Enhanced (1.0.813.11) and also works with Legacy (1.0.3504.0). Fixes and improvements from the beta are now stable and should last for future game updates.

New features

• Handbrake toggle
  Holding the handbrake for 0.5 seconds keeps the handbrakes on.
  It can be disengaged by driving away, or briefly tapping the handbrake.

Fixes and improvements

• Fix force feedback per-vehicle curve multiplier not applied
  Vehicles could have different force feedback profiles, but this was not properly applied. This is now fixed.

• Fix analog handbrake doing nothing when Manual Transmission is off
  While Manual Transmission is active, analog handbrake devices progressively brake the rear wheels. This stopped working with Manual Transmission off. Analog handbrakes now act as a handbrake button when Manual Transmission is not enabled.

• Improve force feedback deinitialization logic
  Mitigates grainy force feedback issues, particularly on Fanatec wheel bases, triggered by frequent alt-tabbing.

Notes

Manual Transmission for Enhanced lays the foundation for other scripts: Custom Gear Ratios, TurboFix, and Custom Torque Map. Work on these will start soon and should require less effort and time, as most the underlying memory work was already done for Manual Transmission. There will also be some attention for other scripts such as Add-On Vehicle Spawner and Real Time Handling Editor.

That being said, my full-time work does also continue, so things may not get updated at lightning speed. I'll also be on holiday next month, so keep in mind that updates may be slower to release in the coming time.

Important FiveM note

Due to some changes, FiveM does not load this newly released 5.8.0. Please use the previous version 5.7.3, as FiveM itself has not updated for Enhanced anyway.

The root cause seems to be a reference to a Script Hook V function that FiveM does not implement or stub. You can follow the issue here on GitHub.
