License Generator 1.1.0, MT 5.6.3 & CGR 1.2.2
Added 2024-09-03 21:00:06 +0000 UTCThe updated License Generator combined with two patch releases for Manual Transmission (5.6.3) and Custom Gear Ratios (1.2.2) improve the license validation for systems with switchable graphics (such as laptops with separate GPUs).
If you use such a system, these updated versions fix issues relating to "License Expired" warnings in the scripts. For other systems, there is no change, but the checks are slightly more tolerant, so you may want to upgrade anyway.
To upgrade:
Run License Generator 1.1.0.
Replace the .asi files for Manual Transmission and Custom Gear Ratios.
Notes about License Generator and the updated scripts:
When there is a message about an existing license, press "Y" to confirm to create a new license.
When you are not eligible (for example: because you cancelled your pledge) it will not continue and it will leave your old license alone.
When a new license is created, a backup of your old license is always created.
The new license is backwards compatible with older scripts (MT 5.6.2, CGR 1.2.1).
The updated scripts (MT 5.6.3, CGR 1.2.2) are backwards compatible with the previous license file.
The downloads are directly in the attachments in this post, and through GitHub. Upcoming releases will be compatible with the original license (created by License Generator 1.0.0/1.0.1) as well the updated license (1.1.0).

I've decided to slightly shift around the roadmap order, specifically for the handling replacement library, which will be moved forwards to get Manual Transmission 100% functional again on the latest game versions.

Handling pack? (Advanced showcase using all my scripts)
Ghost Replay (Release location to be decided yet)
Handling Editor (Free, 5mods - Update release possibly scrapped, still seems 100% functional, no new features planned)

I like to play in first person when driving but 3rd person when out of the car so I have the option to allow independent camera views clicked on in the settings. However if that option is on, when I get back in the car, the hands and wheel always show even if I have them ticked off to not show in the MT mod menu. I have to turn off the allow independent camera views option for the hands and wheel to go away.

If you haven't updated the game yet, read the newest post, there's some info about what this update changes and you still have a chance to backup the v1.0.3274.0 files to restore them after the update. If you've already updated, there's not much I can do. There are guides on the internet that explain how to downgrade the game (e.g. through the Steam console), but I can not help with this process.

I pretty much had everything working in the 5.6.1 , except that the steering did not work (the character seemed to be steering the wheel but the car was not turning. Throttle and breaking worked - this is on a G923) Any help to get this working would be appreciated! I already tried downgrading and doing some other stuff - but ended up getting memory error messages :-/ Whatever is the best way forward would be very much appreciated! What is the timeline to working with the latest release version GTA 5- or - What is the best description on how to get older version of GTA working? Thank you!
