I need help
Added 2023-07-04 21:58:45 +0000 UTCI've been having difficulties with my computer over the past year and it's getting worse.
It often shut down on its own when I'm playing video games or rendering scenes in Blender.
Recently I had an error with my graphics card and the computer crashed.
I've looked all over the internet for solutions, I tried reinstalling the drivers, I've changed the PSU, I've added Fans, I've changed the thermal paste and heatsink, I've cleaned up the dust, I've changed the wiring, and many other things....
but nothing seems to work.
Unfortunately, Patreon support has been going down over the past year. While I can't blame people, I'm sure they had good reasons, it simply makes it more difficult on my end.
I can't quite afford a new PC at the moment, so any support will be greatly appreciated β€

I thought about that as well, but I can't seem to find a solution. It only happens when my PC is doing heavy tasks like rendering or playing some demanding video games (Stuff like Teardown when blowing up everything)

2023-07-06 00:13:04 +0000 UTCI had issues in the past where my PC would just turn off without any warning, turned out that the Power supply was damaged and was triggering the overload protection. the 3.3 volt was messed up and it was about 7 instead, while the 5 and 12 volts were unchanged.

2023-07-05 07:52:17 +0000 UTCI have thought about it again. Perhaps the power button is also broken and/or has a loose connection. If you mention that your PC shuts down on its own, it can only have a few causes. Either the operating system is misconfigured, you have a virus on it, or the power switch occasionally makes electrical contact, causing the system to shut down. Issues related to insufficient voltage or overheating typically manifest as instability or crashes, rather than the PC shutting down by itself. I have never experienced a situation where the PC shuts down on its own. It might be worth checking temperatures while rendering using a program like https://www.hwinfo.com/ to monitor temperatures. Additionally, you could try disconnecting the cable from the motherboard that goes to the power switch on the front panel and see if the PC still experiences the same issues. I hope you understand me iam from germany and my english are not so good :(

2023-07-05 06:20:40 +0000 UTCSome CPUs have issues when the CPU cooler is mounted with too much pressure. It's possible that certain contacts of the CPU may lose contact during thermal expansion, resulting in crashes or blue screens. Is your BIOS/UEFI up to date? What hardware components do you have? There may also be incompatibility with the motherboard and memory.

2023-07-05 05:53:26 +0000 UTCThe same thing happened to me I thought it was overheating too. But then I replaced the bios battery which is a 2032 and all the problems were fixed

2023-07-05 03:57:15 +0000 UTCI just feel the safest bet is to get it checked and then youβll maybe end with at least a hint to what it might be. And the last time I got mine checked it was about $60 or $70. But my best idea on the parts that might be causing you this trouble is: motherboard, CPU, CPU overheating (needing replacement thermal paste or cooling system) and if not those then maybe the power supply in the computer. But those are my thoughts and I honestly am not a professional when it comes to diagnosing computers.

2023-07-05 03:52:40 +0000 UTCI did buy a couple of fans, I changed the thermal paste and the heatsink I remove the dust from time to time, I often leave the side panel completely open as to ensure maximum airflow.

2023-07-05 00:47:18 +0000 UTCDoes the case have good ventilation? Are you able to install/move a fan to the front and back of the case? Is there enough space at the rear of the case to allow hot air to escape? If there are missing slot covers, it could reduce air circulation. Does any of this help?
