I may need a new PC
Added 2022-08-15 00:16:15 +0000 UTCOver the past couple of weeks i've had more difficulties with my PC.
It restarts on its own when I play some games and when I work in Blender.
it's really annoying.
I've changed the Thermal paste and the Heat Sink but it didn't fix the issue.
So I've ordered a new Power Supply (1000W) (right now I have a 750W)
Hopefully this will solve the problem.
If that doesn't work, I'll consider buying a new computer as I wouldn't be able to rely on my current PC.
I might start a Crowdfunding campaign to raise around 4000-5000$
That will be more than enough to Get a really good PC and pay off some debts I got over the past few months

750W should be enough for most builds so you could try getting a replacement power supply depending on the manufacturer and/or warranty. But if your power supply was tripping, your computer shouldn't restart, it should outright stop entirely. Check your cables and connectors inside the PC and maybe a bit of cleaning and dust removal. Sorry if I'm a bit late to bringing this up, and hope things are going well.

Then look up your motherboard model and find the latest bios firmware update for it. They should have instructions you can follow to flash the bios. They should instruct you on how to do it all hopefully. You will need a USB drive. Also what CPU do you have in your machine?

2022-08-15 16:25:04 +0000 UTCIt's as if the pc lost power for a fraction of a second. It goes black and then power back on.

2022-08-15 15:55:07 +0000 UTCsounds like the power supply to me, Had problems in the past with my comp just shutting down on it's own, turns out, the power supply was overloading and the protection kept turning it off to avoid damage to the rest of the computer.

2022-08-15 11:20:19 +0000 UTCSimply put, my computer restarts on its own when I'm playing games or when I work. I've looked up the issue online and most people seems to suggest it's either the CPU overheating or the Power Supply underperforming. There were 2 other options. One being outdated drivers, the other was a possible virus or malware. I've updated all my drivers and changed the heatsink + Thermal paste on my PC I haven't found any significant trace of malwares on my PC either. So I suspect it may be the power supply.
