2026-01-10 02:53:59 +0000 UTCI got divorced in late 2013 at age 57, turned 58 just after. I didn’t do much the first year. Got online when I was ready and it was horrible. I’m a big guy at 6’ and 260 lbs. I gave up online and joined a group site called meetup.com. Just social gatherings where people show up. I am a gregarious person and can always strike up a conversation with someone in a group setting, but still I was shocked at the interest level I generated. A 45 year old latched on and we had a little fun for a few months. She was bat shit crazy though. From that point at age 58 up until my current girlfriend, I dated 6 women from those groups, mid fifties. (One at a time😁). Am I dating hot women in the young and hot world-no. However it is interesting how much eye contact I can have that generates smiles and sometimes a little conversation with 40 something year olds and up just wandering around the grocery store. It has given me loads of confidence. If I knew in my late teens and 20’s what I know now, I would have gotten laid a lot more often!!!!

Also, the "how did he get her?" guy makes her feel safe, is ever so grateful, compliant, financially stable and was the result of "slim pickings" regarding arrogant guys that might dump her, guys without a good job or future ambitions.
