How did you feel when the movie was creating that insane suspense regarding Marty trying to catch the lightning and "return" back to the "future"? 😵 I went nuts!

Those two are kind of interesting in that they are continually referenced directly. A lot of media I consumed as a kid, Warner Bros. in particular, would have quotes, parodies, whole-plot references (there was an entire episode of "Taz Mania" that was basically Casablanca with the cartoon characters in it), so when I finally saw them, I went into it knowing they were the source of all these things I'd grown up on.

2021-05-31 18:26:10 +0000 UTCContrary to popular belief, the sequels were never actually planned from the start; the flying DeLorean at the end was just meant as one last joke. Yes, the movie is full of contrivances and huge coincidences (Doc really had his 'flux capacitor' vision the *exact same day* that Marty's parents originally met? And both the dance at which Marty's parents sealed the deal on their relationship *and* the clock tower getting struck by lightning happened exactly *one week later*??), but it's all so well-executed and entertainingly done that you're willing to overlook it. Can't wait for Part II (**remember what I said about its ending in the previous poll's comment section**).
