Here's my full reaction for the first movie of the Hobbit. It was a fun ride, but I have the feeling the other 2 are the big prize of this trilogy. Somehow I felt this is just the introduction for what it's about to come. Let me know if you think otherwise.

Tolkien invented a few scripts to go along with his invented languages in his stories. One of those used letters for consonants and diacritics (like accents and tildes) for vowels. The three dots come from that.
