Added 2024-08-24 21:54:20 +0000 UTCHello everyone! Thank you all again for your support. I have been working hard to make improvements this week, and have another update for you. I also plan to give Patrons early access to future updates once Suite Life goes public to give you all a chance to experience new features first! I have a few large projects coming down the line at my IRL job in the coming months, so I unfortunately may not be able to work on Suite Life as much as I'd like.
One major feature that I have planned are Day Trips! Your Sims and NPCs will have a selection of rabbit-hole adventures they can go on to experience the world outside of the hotel. They'll have the opportunity to explore places like a Science Center, Amusement Park, Zoo, Shopping Center, Guided City Tour, all could be dependant upon the world your hotel is in. While they're out they can take care of their needs and come back with souvenirs and memories! If you have any ideas of other excursions, pop them in the comments or Discord!
On that note: Reminder that you should join Discord ( https://lot51.cc/discord ) to receive support for Suite Life. Patreon does not support file uploads and it is necessary to see log files to troubleshoot issues. Added new Bar Service Hotel Perk to hire Mixologists to tend bars in the common area from 10:30am to 2am. They currently do not handle any Room Service requests, but would love to expand their job in the future!
You can now select an unlimited number of Sims when using Travel to Hotel with. Your vacation group will however be limited to the max number of household sims which is 8. If you are using a mod to override that limit, like MCCC, it will be compatible.
Improved Travel to Hotel with... picker to show more info about the hotel and guest rooms. (this is a WIP)
You can now limit your hotels to specific ages. A young adult or older must always be permitted. Teens and younger will always be restricted from hotels that have the Clothing Optional lot trait (and/or comparable WW lot traits). Sims will now be kicked out of the hotel if the hotel settings are no longer compatible with their vacation group.
You will now be notified if your Hotel is built on a Penthouse lot and is missing the required non Suite Life Edition elevator for Sims to go upstairs.
Sims should no longer have an insatiable desire to view art.
Sims should now be permitted to dance autonomously.
Additional table categories have been added to the list of compatible surfaces for a porter to deliver a food platter to inside guest rooms.
Room Service requests should now be saved and reloaded properly when traveling or reloading the game. There may still be a few issues surrounding this, but staff should be able to reset on their own if they get stuck. If you experience any issues please upload your lot51_hotels.log file to Discord.
Sims given a room key should now keep their invite status when traveling or reloading the game.
Fixed an issue where undelivered Food Platters would disappear upon travel or game reload.
Fixed Call to Meal interaction not appearing on non-hotel lots
Staff should no longer shift change immediately after reloading a hotel lot, and all sims should be in their original saved positions.
Sims should shuffle around less when checking in with Concierge.
Beta 4 Hotfix 1 Released August 25th:
Fixed room cost not calculating when initially adding guest rooms to a hotel.
Fixed NPCs randomly over reserving rooms.
Sims added to your vacation group after checking in (by either Inviting to Join Vacation from the relationship panel or Join Vacation within a sim's Actions menu) will now be properly added to situations and given room access immediately. Staff that are invited to join vacation will be kicked out of their staff situations and replaced.
