Player Character Model?

One decision that I am finding difficult is whether to give you, the player, a model in the game.
At the moment, most scenes only contain a first person view of the player.
I figured this would allow the player to self insert, and not be taken out of the experience by seeing somebody that potentially looks nothing like them, portrayed as 'them'.
However, this does introduce limitations, and 3rd person angles for any intimate/sex scenes are not very possible without a model for the player.
Would you prefer to have a player model for scenes like this?
Do you mind if your character doesn't look like you?
Or would you prefer sticking to a first person perspective with no player model?
