I forget exactly what she called their religion, but it wasnβt Wicca/Pagan or any other βcommonβ (for lack of a better word) spiritual belief system. Mika started claiming she had special powers. I immediately called bull and told her to prove it. She responded by saying that she would shape-shift into a cat and visit me later that evening.

2024-09-07 18:07:29 +0000 UTCMan, I would have done everything possible to hang on to a friend like that and ensure the bond never died, be they a were-creature or a budding witch with shapeshifting magic. Sure beats the usual boring types you cross paths with in grade school.
