I've definitely not heard good things, but might be fun to rant about and pick apart ๐Ÿ˜… It was once recommended to my class to help us understand an autistic classmate better ๐Ÿ‘€

Congrats on your diagnosis and thank you so much for your kind words! I'll check that video out ๐Ÿ˜Š All the best to your family too, Max ๐Ÿ’›

Meg, I just want to thank you for all your content and work. As a recently diagnosed 58yo dad, there are a few of you courageous youtubers which have been so helpful to me, and without a doubt to so many others around this planet. Thank you again. Iโ€™d love to get your opinion on a recent video โ€œwhy everyone has autism (itโ€™s not what you think). I feel it is pretty good at explaining autism, particularly counter to my governmentโ€™s recent sadly proclaimed grasp of the subject. Please rock on Meg! All my families best to you your family. Max

Does it seem very specific to UK culture? From reading a sample just now it made a few references to thinking they were getting the reactions they were because of that

Currently reading Why can't I just enjoy things? By Pierre Novellie. For anyone looking for further autism reading, I love it.

Damaris Russell

I'm glad it looks like the Curious Incident won't be picked. I read it a while back, and I think it occupies a similar cultural situation to the Big Bang Theory, where the writer(s) A) Wrote obvious autistic stereotypes B) Wouldn't admit the character was a depiction of autism and C) The audience felt good about pitying the character and falsely believing they'd come to understand autistic people.

Ooh, that's a cool way to choose your books! I like it ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฆ‹

I'm Autistic, Now What

Ooh - that's interesting!! I definitely need to watch it soon!

I'm Autistic, Now What

I'd like to hear your thoughts of Life on the Bridge. I read it and liked it, but I need to re-read it as I need to read (or watch) something several times before it all sinks in.

NotYourAverageJeau

I hope that The Lost Girls of Autism wins, even though the others sound interesting too. I'm still on the waiting list for that, but I'm currently reading Gina Rippon's first book. It is really interesting and surprisingly funny. I can't wait to read more on her views on autism.

EG

Talking in general I'd love to see what your thoughts are on a kind of spark (the TV show)

Lena Talbot

Well, watched the series "A kindcof spark" and found it bad representation (a burnout that lasts a day๐Ÿ™„ for example).

Katzenbekloppt

i choose the one that is unfamiliar to me, the title looks weird and strange and i make me wanna read it. that is how i choose my books btw. weird title, you got me. also i like detective novels.
