I got the inspiration for this episode of Love Talk after a conversation I had with a friend.
Growing up, I always heard from the people around me that I need to forgive and forget. Whether it was from family, teachers, or even my friends, forgiving and forgetting was shoved down my throat when in reality, I didn't want to.
I held a lot of resentment in my life and whilst I've since let all of it go, I still can't bring myself to forgive the people who have hurt me. Once I burn a bridge, I usually never go back.
And I've come to the conclusion that that's okay. Your forgiveness is not something everyone can afford. Let's talk about it.
