The Falcon & The Winter Soldier | Episode 6 | Full Length Reaction!

hey guys heres the final episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier! Surprisingly this show really grew on me, as did the story and all of the characters. Almost everyone has told me not to expect much from this show so maybe that had me expecting less than I originally would have going in. But this show has exceeded my expectations and i really enjoyed it, i hope you all do too:) thank you friends!

I mean no. Wanda was 100% the villain of WandaVision. If you've seen what happens afterwards you know Im right. Even if you haven't, Wanda's way of processing grief is to torture hundreds of people for days on end. And her big redemption arc is to...stop torturing them and pretend she did them a favor. At no point does she ever accept what she did was wrong, only that she's annoyed people tried to stop her. She's 100% the villain of the story.

Lee Aguera

Wand Vision is a test for me on weather or not I can trust your judgements, and you failed hard. Wanda was having a grief triggered disassociative episode, which brought everyone along for the ride because of her powers. If you blame her there is something is fundamentally wrong with your world view.

John Walker is an anti-hero. He lives by "in order to save the village, I had to burn it to the ground".

The Dingo

"How did that not crush him?" So those new wings and suit came from Wakanda, so the wings are likely made from Vibranium, and the way he had them folded created a dome which protected him. Remember that Vibranium absorbs near all the kinetic energy from whatever impacts it (like when someone shoots at the shield, the bullets simply fall to the ground rather than ricochet). Also: No biggie, but I happened to notice that your on-screen timer was off by about 3 seconds. I'm not totally convinced it wasn't my device being troublesome...

The scene where Bucky saves the people in the van was his first hero moment. He'd never been thanked before for saving someone. It's a fun tidbit As far as John Walker, he definitely had an interesting character arc. He was never a "bad person", just flawed. I don't mean that in a negative way, just that he was very very human. His courtroom scene is really meaningful too because everything he said in there was the absolute truth. He really did do what the government always told him to do and he did it well. He followed orders because he was a "perfect soldier". But to be Captain America you need to be more than just obedient. You need to have heart. It's a nice nod to the conversation that Steve had with Erskine when he told him not to be a perfect soldier but a good man. It's the same reason Steve chose to give the shield to Sam instead of Bucky. Bucky is a perfect soldier. Sam is a good man

Thank you for reviewing the show. My dear, I feel like your analyses get a little crisper and more observant over time. It's been a lot of fun going through the MCU with you. I do hope you will get caught up with the current phase, but I also hope you go back for Agent Carter and Agents of SHIELD. Especially with some of the production values and story lines, I feel like you would have some interesting things to say about them.

Wandavision, falcon and the winter soldier and than Hawkeye Mandalorian .

zynjams

I personally think WandaVision and FatWS were too different to compare evenly, and that both were quite great for the stories they told.

Alvin Cura

Loki is probably my 3rd favorite Disney+ show.

Richard Maurer

I couldnt finish Loki, to me it was horrible. Hawkeye was the last good MCU show.

zynjams

While I liked FatWS, WandaVision is still my favorite Disney+ series. Nothing has equalled it so far, although Loki and Moon Knight have come pretty close.

Richard Maurer

Yeah that too. But there was just a lot of things she could gain from it so I think she also thought it was worth showing Outsiders on of her most precious operations

Lorenzo Baxter

As far as Sharon leading them to the serum, she probably didn't account for Zemo actually killing him. She probably assumed she'd be able to reacquire him in the future.

Richard Maurer

Loki is next, Hawkeye will still be there when she gets it, just because it's set at Xmas is irrelevant.

Richard Maurer

For me, WandaVision hit a tone of grief that was very impactful to me, whereas Falcon And The Winter Soldier felt like a slow burn that didn't amount to much. Also the way they handled Sharon was extremely weak.

The Dingo

Personally I thought Falcon and the Winter Soldier was by FAR the superior show to WandaVision. I get that Wanda was grieving, but she was just a villain. Like straight up mentally torturing hundreds of people for days on end to have a fantasy life, and then the show makes it seems like she's a hero by giving up her torturous ways. Really soured me on the character. Meanwhile Falcon and the Winter Soldier is about grieving, but also processing mental trauma in a healthy way and not hurting others. As for Walker as US Agent, he's a hero, but also a little more brutal than other Captain Americas.

Lee Aguera

OMG! This means Loki is next! You could watch Hawkeye for the Holiday aspect and not ruin the sequence of things as long as you jump back to Loki then What If?. Daredevil season 2 takes place after Jessica Jones season 1, plus I think you already watched Shang-Chi but haven't released the video yet, lol.

Raptor

she has watched endgame and black widow so she ready for Hawkeye

zynjams

Or not. Release order is your friend.

Richard Maurer

I'm surprised you never suspected Sharon being the Power Broker, but then again, it kind of flew under the radar, so you might've thought that the Power Broker was inconsequential and not relevant. It makes a lot of sense why Sharon led Sam and Bucky to the Serum. Because firstly, if she gave them what they wanted, they might not suspect or look too deep into what she actually does. Also, Sam promised her a pardon, meaning there was much more business she could do in America, if she gave them info where the Serum comes from. So yeah there was a lot in it for her why she gave up that piece of info. The helicopter falling on Sam's wings and shield would not have crushed him because, remember, the wings and suit are made by Wakandans, so it's made of Vibranium. The same metal that absorbs all vibrations and reverberates them out. So yeah, now he's got a really strong defense to make up for not being a super soldier. In the comics, Isaiah was a Black Captain America. So, the mantle has been taken up by much more than just Steve. That's why it means so much that he's a Captain America, but still black ๐Ÿ˜… Walker was absolutely not cocky. He came off that way, and yeah, he acted that way, but it doesn't seem to be an actual struggle in his personality. His struggles are his heavy trauma. Making a shield never came off as a villain arc, but more that he's going rogue and all out for revenge, which he was doing. He always said that he's wanted to save lives, and he proved it when he chose protecting innocents over getting revenge. Something that Lemar could truly be proud of. U.S. Agent is his alter ego in the comics, and he's not exactly a hero. He's an Anti-Hero. He's much more brutal as we've seen than heroes normally are, but he doesn't actively try and hurt innocents or do "evil" things per se. And... you shouldn't like Contessa Valentina. Remember, she is the woman who set Yelena up to try and kill Clint, who she said is responsible for killing Natasha so she is up to no good ๐Ÿคฃ I feel bad that John thinks he's signing up to do more good, but now he's at the whim of another shady ass government power who will just use him for their own goals. Another thing in case you didn't notice, Zemos butler is the one old man in the car who had the remote that detonated the Flag Smashers' truck, killing them. So Zemo made sure there would be no more Super Soldiers. Thats why he laid back in relaxation after hearing it on the radio. No more potential God's among men. Next show is Loki! Very good and important for the future MCU! Can't wait for you to see it V! โค

Lorenzo Baxter
