I just watched your reaction to Apollo 13 and you did a great job! If you're up for watching it again, this has two great audio commentary tracks, the first from director Ron Howard, and the second from the real Jim Lovell. Most of your comments in your reaction focused on the drama, but listening to Ron Howard talk about all the work to make all those shots look like they were weightless reminds you of the technical difficulties involved with a movie like this.

2023-01-10 23:51:43 +0000 UTCI don't see hardly anyone react to Philadelphia which sucks because that's easily my favorite Hanks performance. I'm not a fan of Forrest Gump. I think Hanks can be a great actor, but it feels like he's been playing the same kind of character for a long time now. It seems like he's almost always the modest, super competent, level headed guy with no significant flaws. The guy can act, but he never seems to be in a role where he really can, at least in the last 15+ years or so. I like his earlier comedic roles in 'Big' and especially 'A League of Their Own', but it's like when he won his Oscars he wasn't allowed to make comedic movies outside of 'Toy Story'.
