I agree with you Ken. "Nighthawks" is the only remaining Stallone movie that I've seen that I would be hyped to revisit.

Mark Kelso

Oscar is hilarious, never met anyone who did not love it. May I ask, are you under 30? I am doing a paper on how the younger generation leans more to tragedy than comedy.

Beau Mont

Looks like Dolph doesn't want to be on board specifically bc they continue to cut Sly out. He didn't know Sly wasnt involved from what I read, but I'll go read today's post he made as I haven't seen that one yet. This is precisely why I did not care for Creed 2, pushing Sly out. Sly just kept it classy at first pretending it was his choice but no they pushed him out. He should be able to leave part of that franchise (Rocky) to his children. It was his creation. They have done him very dirty. And I personally don't think Creed series goes too far without him.

Jonathan Patrick

I tried watching the first thirty minutes of Oscar and it was rough lol I might go back and watch it but IDK lol hope y'all didn't find it boring 🤷

dieselbeast

Indeed.

Jeff Mills

"Nighthawks" (1981) is a great movie. Very underrated. And, it's still relevant with the storyline.

Jeff Mills

I'm so pumped for 'No Country'.!! Great film and great characters!!

Baldielox

Agree RE: DAYLIGHT.

Jason Chirevas

Just to balance this out, OSCAR is really fun if you appreciate the kind of frenetic, stage-based comedy it represents. And it has a great cast.

Jason Chirevas

another Rocky spinoff "Drago" was just announced. In recent weeks Stallone has been ranting about not owning the rights to the Rocky character and he went off again about it on IG today - saying Dolph Lundgren "went behind his back" with a character that he created etc. Yeesh.

Birdie Num Num

YAY!! I can't wait for Oscar! I love that movie! It is so much fun, and so well done.

Vwlss Nvwls

Sam , y’all definitely need to check out Escape Plan. It’s got Stallone AND Schwarzenegger.

There's defintrely one good Stallone film left, Nighthawks,

Ken Veader

Yeah definitely Seagal. I'd start with Above The Law. Cool plot and innovative martial arts choreography for its time

Ken Veader

Nighthawks is the one they should do

Ken Veader

And Lock Up

Jonathan Patrick

It's a comedy set during a certain Era. Wont say cause I don't want to spoil. I believe it was originally a stage play which makes sense when you watch it.

Donna Castellano

your def not alone!!! "Go Ahead make your bed..hahaha"

Demos Samolis

Fair enough. Not everyone is gonna define "great" the same. Even though Arnold manipulated Stallone into doing Stop or My Mom Will Shoot! as a prank... some people still liked it! So there you go :)

Uncle 'Traveling' Matt

Thanks 👍

mikethemotormouth

No your not alone :)

Florian Meier

Oscar is one of my favorite movies!!

Donna Castellano

I know I'm alone here but I can't wait for Stop or my Mom Will Shoot! Estelle Getty is always a win! Same goes for Over the Top! Such a good "so bad it's good" movie!

mikethemotormouth

"You two are just dumber than a bag o'hammers" 🤣🤣

mikethemotormouth

No Country for Old Men, on this channel, is a guaranteed great reaction. I cannot wait!

Future Boy

I'm looking forward to Oscar too. I don't remember it, but I know a lot of people really like it. I'd also be happy to see Assassins, Daylight, and Victory get reactions at some point, before the Stallone season ends.

Future Boy

I'm sorry, but I Don't have that opinion at all ... The Last Stallone on the Channel was "Cop Land" and that was a Great Reaction from the two, so where's tue bottom of the bartel here ... Over The Top, Nighthawks, Rambo 3, Assassins, Daylight, Escape Plan are all Great Movies to Watch, and I Also Think that Both of them will find all These Films very good ... So That's My Opinion

Florian Meier

I saw Oscar once when I was a kid. I remember nothing. Good or bad, I'm interested to see it again.

Future Boy

Yes !! Love this Movie !!!

Florian Meier

This is a Great week !!! No Country for Old Men is a Modern Masterpiece, and Oscar is a good Comedy !! I don't understand some comments here ... Hope you do also "Over The Top" and "Assassins" from Stallone !! Over the Top is one of my absolute Favorite Childhood Movies and you will Love it !!! Also Another good Stallone is "Daylight'

Florian Meier

No Country is a great movie, Oscar is not.

Jim Tatro

looking forward to No Country!

Portis

A romance movie I can recommend (my favorite romance movie after Amelie): Lost in Translation (2003).

PIG

I swear, the Coen Brother movies and Pulp Fiction are the most quotable movies I can think of.

PIG

Stallone fun movie is Over The Top from 1986. It’s got some fun Stallone quotes also. Love to see you add that one to the Stallone list.

Jeff Phillips

Spy (2015) is BY FAR my favourite Jason Statham movie ;) I'd vote for that one all day long.

Uncle 'Traveling' Matt

@I Like cheese Oh I was in no way saying the Stallone version of Judge Dredd even comes close to the greatness of Dredd (2012). I was just recommending a Stallone movie.

Mr. Writhms

I'm sorry but Dredd (2012) makes Judge Dredd (1995) look like a Chuck E. Cheese performance. I could never possibly recommend that anyone watch the 90s version in place of the 2010s version.

Uncle 'Traveling' Matt

"Nighthawks" (1981) is probably the last of the critically acclaimed Stallone movies you havent seen yet. But if you want another Stallone sci-fi action movie, you'll have fun watching "Judge Dredd" (1995).

Mr. Writhms

I'm pitching with the side saying, I think y'all have reached the point of diminishing returns on Stallone movies. Maybe switch to Bruce Willis, maybe Jason Statham? I dunno. I DO know how excited I am that you got "No Country"... that is one great film!

Mark Kelso

Oh dear, I think we're scraping the bottom of the barrel of Stallone movies at this point (someone mentioned Stop or My Mom Will Shoot! - please god no!!!) I hope we don't remain here for much longer :S edit: IMO, Steven Seagal should be next, if Van Damme received coverage (still need Kickboxer (1989)) and Oscar somehow passes as acceptable.

Uncle 'Traveling' Matt

Love Oscar. Underrated comedy IMO

Rick Rodriguez (PicoMan Photography)

Honestly, I know nothing about Oscar. I didn't even know it had Stallone. But for some reason that VHS cover is one of many that have been burned into my memory from my parents taking me to the rental place when I was a little kid.

Jeffrey Miller

Holy shit! Oscar! That is so amazing. I love that movie.

Jason Dolan

I can't believe you guys are doing Oscar. It widely noted across the internet that the few bad films Stallone did was the two pure comedies he tried. This was the first, the other was " Stop or my mom will shoot." Please for the love of God do not do that movie! At least go for judge dread or cobra. They may not be everyone's favorite, bit at least I can take them seriously.

when is "the rock"?

Mikey

No Country for Old Men is such an amazing film. It features one of the greatest and most terrifying movie villains of all time.

Tim Raths

Pretty pretty happy for No Country For Old Men

YoureMrLebowski

Haha Oscar. 👍 (Also lookin forward to Lock Up, and Over the Top with Stallone) As far as other mobster comedies, "Analyze This" with DeNiro is awesome, and "Mickey Blue Eyes" with High Grant and James Caan
