2022-07-01 03:18:03 +0000 UTCWhen I talk about Kreese being in jail, it's about him waiting to either make bond or sit in jail if he's unable to make bond right away. The only one outside of Silver who would have that kind of money is Daniel. I can't see him believing Kreese is innocent of the accusations within the 48 hours (or whatever time it takes) to be up for bond. I really don't think he's going to sit in jail the entire season. Then again, if Kove's physical limitations call for it, maybe he will be.

I don't see Kreese getting out on bail as he has nothing, but if somehow Daniel finds out what happened from Tory and Kreese somehow apologizes and is believed (I know, we're talking miracles here) maybe Daniel might bail him out. I dunno. Or maybe Stingray comes clean with the truth. You can tell Stingray felt super bad about what he did. I think for Daniel to be convinced though it has to be Amanda. Amanda has to go to Kreese personally and Kreese has to convince her. There's a slight possibility of this because Amanda saw firsthand how Kreese does have a heart. He went to her about Tory's situation. It will be interesting to say the least to see what happens.

He totally recognizes are crazy he was and how messed up what he did was. He has changed and redeemed himself. But throughout the course of the season Silver turns into his old self slowly. I think Chozen is going to be the same, but for good. You see when we met Chozen last season he still has a very dangerous streak in him, even though he was redeemed himself. Silver doesn't know who he's messing with.

2022-06-28 22:06:23 +0000 UTCNot sure who will be playing Miguel’s father, but I would love to see Danny Pino from “Cold Case” and “Law and Order”. Chozen is the wild-card here. He IS a scary dude and Terry Silver has no idea. Neither does Kreese. My guess is that Chozen will take over the bulk of the training with Miyagi Do and he will work directly with Anthony LaRusso. Remember, Daniel said to Anthony earlier this year that Miyagi told him that one day he would defend his family. That wasn’t a coincidence. Sean Kanan said a couple of years ago he saw two possibilities for Mike Barnes: 1) he got even worse after KK3 and is even worse today. 2) after KK3 his character got arrested and was given a choice of prison or the military. Kanan said he liked the latter idea because it wasn’t the conventional path and said the military straightened out Barnes who became a decorated veteran. I could see that happening and remember Kenny’s dad is in the military. Maybe he serves or served with Barnes who finds out that Kenny is in Cobra Kai and he pays them a visit. Most assume that Barnes hates Daniel, but he was used by Terry and Kreese. It could be that he’s really pissed off at them, but I suspect Silver will get him to team up and go after Miyagi Do.

2022-06-28 01:44:04 +0000 UTCI know this is probably going to sound crazy, but I think Kreese will die in Season 5. For a long time I thought Kreese would sacrifice himself to save Johnny in a fight. Maybe he finds out he has terminal cancer and this allows his character to achieve redemption before he dies. One possibility a friend of mine suggested is that Kreese encounters Dutch in prison. Chad McQueen who played Dutch has been retired for years and has turned down a return to acting, but you never know.

There's just no way imo that Johnny just leaves Robbie in the dust so I think Robbie will "have his back" if that makes sense. This show is so good, so much better than anyone could've ever predicted it was going to be. We almost don't deserve it lol but I can't wait to see what they do with season 5.

I remember being 18 and crumbling in front of my Dad and saying that things would never get better. And he like Johnny in the episode and hugged me. So it’s just too much for me lmao

I've loved every second , every outro and intro have been wonderful so massive thankyou to you both for that 💙 these last two episodes had so much going on , the fights were awesome a tremendous job by the cast there truly 👌 gotta agree with you about Tori I too think she will come clean to Sam for a moment I half expected her to throw the trophy in the trash or smash it up tbh but I do believe season 5 she will indeed become one of the good guys . Maybe Robbie too perhaps guess we will see . So excited to see the dynamic chosen will bring to the show and well stingray can do one what a dick he is eh , I'm sure kreese will get out of jail somehow then it will really kick off . So excited for season 5 until then Mondays won't quite be the same . Finally not sure if you guys have watched any but on weekend I binged season 3 of umbrella academy and it was awesome 👌

As awful as he's been since the inception of the Karate Kid universe, getting that back story on him as well as his connection with Tory created positive options. Seeing exactly what happened to make Silver promise his help to Kreese for the rest of his life added much needed layers to Silver as a character. You can actually believe he would do what he did to Kreese in the finale. Silvers reaction to Kreese sticking up for Tory at the tournament. Then Kreese realizing Johnny was right about him as a sensei when he sees himself in flashbacks as Silver tries to get Tory to fight dirty. I could definitely buy a turnaround for Kreese after this season's events. Who knows what will happen while he's in jail either.

The move to replace him with Silver as the main villain, I think, came about at least in part due to Martin Kove's advancing age. Nothing against Martin, I think he's a good actor who's had a great career, but towards the end of season 3 and throughout season 4 it seemed as if he was struggling with his age more and more. His age prevented him from doing much, if any, karate. And towards the end, his slurring of his lines became a bit more common. Enter Silver - someone who's still able to do (some) of his own fighting and who's acting is still top shelf. I think it was a very creative solution to a production problem. Though, this is based entirely on my own guess, could be way off. I expect we'll see Kreese again, we have to resolve his story, but it seems Silver will carry most of the load going forward as the main villain.

2022-06-27 18:13:23 +0000 UTCYes, although remember that probably a good bit of season 5 will be Johnny in Mexico trying to find Miguel, so that will affect the Kreese storyline and Kreese talking to Johnny about it. Unless they wrap up the Mexico thing in a couple of episodes and then come back to the states, it might be Tory going to Kreese and then going to Amanda and Sam for help. One thing that is interesting, Jacob Bertrand who plays Hawk said there will be a completely unexpected team up in season 5 that no one could have predicted. I could be butchering that.. but that's the gist. So it's very interesting. Sam and Tory teaming up would be.. very unexpected but then maybe not because they are on that path already, with Tory being concerned about Sam and now knowing that she didn't really win the trophy. It's all gonna be very interesting to see what happens. I 100% agree with you about Miguel and Robby. Also the thing a lot of people seem to forget is that the whole dojos shutting down thing isn't like some drafted law or something. It was just a verbal bet. There is nothing that Cobra Kai can do to enforce that.

2022-06-27 17:06:54 +0000 UTCI can't remember because I never caught it but there were some moments I think in the Robby and Hawk fight, at least one? I think I remember TBR/Sam calling BS on one of the ref calls. I could be wrong. I think that ref basically just had a really hard time rigging the matches without it being obvious. Probably also weighed heavily on his heart. You could tell the ref felt bad about it, and was just like "whatever man.. Just pay me." I have always loved Sam. Like you well.. I never really disliked Tory. But to me Tory was always "the bad guy" and psychotic until the middle of season 3. Regardless of what is happening in her life she was still nuts. But middle of season 3 she started to shed that exterior and embrace humanity. I think Tory's a good person she just was like an abused animal flinching when someone raises their arm. It's very difficult to let go of that. While I do love Sam, and I do believe it wasn't completely uncalled for for Sam to accuse Tory of stealing her mom's wallet, coz she basically stole other stuff and bragged about how she could steal everything else. but ultimately Sam was wrong. That's what kind of set it off. But I think Tory's a good person and I also think that Kreese wasn't lying when he told Johnny that it was always about him winning. It is very true that people always say that winning doesn't matter, but ultimately people DO treat winners different than losers. Nobody ever wants to say that, but it is true. I'm not saying Kreese is a good guy by any means at all but I do think he really does care about Johnny and Martin Kove has said as such. One of the things Martin Kove hated about the movies was that Kreese was painted as this cardboard bad guy. He said he always saw Kreese as much more than a one-dimensional villain and when he joined Cobra Kai he told them he wanted Kreese to be a much more complex character than just a simple villain. But yeah that twist with Silver totally blew me away, I didn't see it coming at all. Silver was just sooo weird like the way he kept saying "I heed your orders Captain" and it felt so weird and like Silver was really weak and damaged, but clearly he is very calculating, maniacal and cunning. Everyone things Mike Barnes is coming back and Sean Canan (the actor that plays Barnes) even said he would love to come back. but no one knows. It's amazing how they're able to keep things under wraps. Season 5 finished filming long before the trailer came out. It finished a little while after season 4 was released.

Some people have wondered if Robby will be able to talk to Shawn about the dangerous influence of Cobra Kai and if maybe the two of them will get Kenny out of Cobra Kai. But it's a ?. Also I don't believe one vs. the other. Just what some ppl online have said.

I don't consider trailers spoilers but for those who want to go in completely blind it can definitely spoil some things. But saying that; Before I found out about TBR Schmitt I watched a Cobra Kai reaction from another YouTuber and this was before season 4 came out. So after he watched all 3 seasons and reacted to it he also watched and reacted to the season 4 trailer. It would be cool especially coz there are some badass moments in the trailer, but ultimately up to them. I was thinking also possibly they could do a poll to see whether or not to react to the trailer if they were open to it. *shrugs* There are also some really cool Cobra Kai things on YouTube as well. There's this guy, Cobra Kai Kid who recreated the entire first episode of Cobra Kai mostly by himself, and there's videos of him going to visit the various locations on set and meeting the actors. I never mentioned any of this coz once you go to YouTube you will have the entire series spoiled for you lol. but it would be a cool thing if they reacted to the Cobra Kai Kid video. This is all really heartwarming? I can't remember the word. but it's cool to see this stuff.

September 9th is my Mom's birthday, the day after my birthday, and it just so happens to be the day that Season 5 of "Cobra Kai" launches on Netflix. Something to look forward to this fall. :) Kreese woke up a sleeping cobra in Silver and I had mixed feelings seeing Kreese taken away in handcuffs. I was shocked that Silver framed him which is clearly wrong, but at the same time, I feel like there's a bit of karmic retribution here for the way Kreese has treated others including Silver. As Daniel said in the first "Karate Kid", "what goes around, comes around". I think Kenny has turned to the dark side of Cobra Kai and he will continue to torment Anthony and Anthony's friends will wind up turning on him and joining Cobra Kai. Daniel and Johnny FINALLY had their talk and I think that they have put their rivalry behind them once and for all. Daniel's mission will be working with Chozen to take down Silver and Cobra Kai. I think Johnny will wind up taking Robbie to Mexico to try and find Miguel and the Miguel/Robbie rivalry will wind up being the new Daniel/Johnny. There will be moments where they get along, but something will split them up again. As for Kreese, this is a longshot and perhaps a stretch, but here's my theory: I think that Tory will go to visit Kreese in prison and she will confide to Kreese that Silver rigged the tournament. Kreese will meet with Daniel and Johnny or maybe just Johnny and work out a deal. If they work together to get Silver, the bet they made is off and they all get to keep their dojos. I also think that we will see the return of Mike Barnes. Some viewers have speculated that Mike Barnes is Tory's father which would be a problem for Tory. I could see Tory confronting Silver and telling him she knows what he did and Silver threatening her which could lead to Tory reaching out to the LaRusso's again. The wild-card here is Miguel. He did what Daniel did not do in "Karate Kid III". He chose not to defend his title on principle. He was developing a bond with Daniel although it seems to be more of an avuncular relationship where Johnny is more of a father figure. Will Miguel want to stay in Mexico or come back to the States? I was so happy that Eli won and it was such an awesome arc for his character. The previous season ended on a high where this season ended, not on a low, but it was bittersweet. Daniel and Johnny finally teamed up, Johnny and Robbie reconciled, Eli won, Tory grew up, but Silver rigged the tournament and had Kreese framed. Whew! I'm so excited for Season 5!

I've been watching and waiting for months to see your reaction to the final 10 minutes of this final episode, and it didn't disappoint! Of all the season finales so far, this one is definitely my favorite. Hard to believe they can take a show that was on fire from the very first episode and keep making it better season after season, but they keep doing it!

The only ones left are Mike Barnes and that weirdo who trailed around after him. You mentioned you had one more Karate Kid movie, so I'm assuming you're doing The Next Karate Kid? I'm really interested to see your reaction to that movie. Personally, I like it and that it comes from the perspective of a different person with very different problems keeps it from being boring. I've seen it quite a few times, which is way more than I've seen KK3 (2 times, 30 years apart 🤣). So I hope you end up at least liking it. You don't need to think it's high art on par with the first KK.

I know they'd established some of Tory's personal life issues in S3, but it didn't feel strong enough to garner a lot of sympathy (for me, It's my opinion). Esp since Tory was so heavily on the warpath when it came to Sam. But the way the actress played Tory, the expansion of her personal issues and adding Amanda as an ally definitely made her a sympathetic character to me. So I'm Team Both and I'd love to see the hatchet get buried and the both of them take that Piper biatch down lol. On the subject of Tory and the fix, it's interesting that Silver only did that for the girls competition. So Silver basically had no faith in any of his female students - even Tory - to win their division. The fix was in even way back when Tory fought Devon. There's a comment that the ref gave a bad call in favor of Tory in that match. You never heard anything like that when it came to the boys' matches. So maybe that could be another motivation for Tory to stick it to Silver - she finds out he had no faith in her ability to win fairly.
