It's pretty easy to overcome most bullies you just need to stand up to them but kids really need to learn how to defend themselves and stand up to bullies. Talking to parents and stuff that just makes it worse like Miguel and the kid with the lip (His name is actually Eli) said. But once you stand up to them, they pretty much stop and usually everyone ends up being friends. Even if you get beat up like Miguel it's much better to get into fights and make the bully back tdown than suffer like trauma and PTSD from getting bullied. That last with you forever.

People hide behind the screen and all this BS they wouldn't have the balls to come up to you in person and say that stuff. And I know with girls it's not like guys. Girls tend to think another girl who stands up for herself and will beat them down is crazy. Either way you don't get messed with anymore. It's not so bad though. In some ways it can actually be true like what Kyler told Sam.. Although in their case they are DEFINITELY not friends. I think it's also hilarious how much TBR and Samantha hate Kyler. like I'm like but I like Kyler.. he's funny and reminds me of kids I grew up with. (minus the bully part) Your friend sounds like my aunt in school. She would get in fist fights with anyone who messed with my mom and other aunts. But now she's like the poster woman for peace and quiet. I could never imagine that she was the one to put the beat down on people lol.

2022-02-23 03:37:15 +0000 UTCIt's really interesting because I am learning about both TBR and Sam's values and manners from this show.. both have strong reactions to certain things such as Kyler not eating the tora or Yasmine bullying Aishia (which is really harsh). I kinda with they were doing 4 a week but 4 a week would end unevenly with the seasons. I think 2 is good because then there will at least be a week in between seasons. It's more of an impact that way.. Even though I binged the entire series in one day lol. Learning the episodes are only 30 minutes really sheds a light on how I could do that.

2022-02-23 03:35:18 +0000 UTCI got bullied by a few girls relentlessly in my Freshman year of school. These were kids in my class, some of them had been friends of mine in grade school! And it all started because the main girl heard from someone else I called her a "bitch", which I didn't. It was so bad, I tried to get help from the counselor. That only made it worse, cause the main girl and two of her friends got called to the office. It went on like this for months. It was so bad, I didn't want to go to school. Girls may not physically fight much, but I would've preferred that - cause I easily could've held my own against these skinny hags. Girls tend to use psychological warfare. Whispering, staring at you, turning other people against you, all easier when it's a popular girl doing it. This didn't stop until one of my friends, who had no problems beating the crap out of people and getting suspended for it, ended it. They tried to mess with me in home room. My friend went over to them after they left my desk and told the main girl, "You even LOOK in her direction again, I will beat the everloving sh*t out of you.". The look on all of their faces was hilarious. After that, I had no problems at all.

She's been one of my favorites through the series. Miguel is my #1 tho. I haven't seen S1 in a while but looking through episode descriptions, I'm recalling a lot coming up. It's packed! I almost wish you were doing 4 episodes a week. 😄. Quality discussion post-episodes, as always, too.

I went to high school in the 90s, and I had the exact same thing happen to me that happened to Demetri (backpack thrown in the trash) and it was actually interestingly enough the same thing my backpack was covered with some white liquid or something, in this show it was yoghurt. And in other cases I had the majority of the gym class try to lock me in a closet, and I almost got my hand caught in between the door. I can only imagine how much worse it is nowadays with social media. Kids are all gonna laugh at stuff like that in high school. That's how high school is for people who aren't "the in crowd." But by the time I learned Kung Fu people weren't really bullying me anymore so I never really got in any fights. I think the boba thing was just.. It's really hard to be in a situation like that where people are telling you you aren't what you are, and the pressure to prove it to them. He didn't necessarily want to fight the guy but just show "Yeah, I actually am a karate guy."
