Comedy Horror Poll!

Help pick the Comedy Horror movie we will react to for Spooky Season!

Please feel free to suggest other options in the comments for future polls!

NOTE: I have seen The Cabin in the Woods, Drag Me to Hell & Tucker and Dale vs Evil, so this would only be Sam's first time reaction.

Comments

Ah, what were we thinking?!! Completely forgot the two Addams Family movies!

Neal Romanek

Re-animator (1985) and Peter Jackson's Braindead (1992) are also two dynamite, super-gory, over-the-top comedy horror flicks.

Neal Romanek

The Conjuring 2 and the Annabelle movies are amazing too.

Aaron Barlow

Cabin in the woods is also pretty good.

Aaron Barlow

Also pretty please, watch Dog Soldiers!!! A Brit supernatural actioner similar to Aliens but with a Supernatural twist.

Aaron Barlow

American Werewolf in London MUST win, it's brilliant!

Aaron Barlow

It's whatever genre Buckaroo Banzai is - supernatural/horror hip action comedy??

Neal Romanek

Those are the greatest and the remake is also worthy!

Rick Trujillo

Finally, my vote is in the majority! lulw. One of my all-time favorite films is Horror Comedy, Return Of The Living Dead, and so I’d be remiss to not mention it under a poll for Horror Comedy films. *As much as I want to suggest Evil Deads are on this poll, I do feel like the first one is more along the lines of the original Texas Chainsaw, in which the filmmakers thought the film was hilarious—a sentiment audiences didn’t and don’t agree with; however, Evil Dead 2 & Army Of Darkness are undeniably Horror Comedies.

Damiana_Dimock

100% a comedy, 0% a horror.

Erich Bomke

You guys gotta see Evil Dead 1 & 2

Ken Veader

Most of these aren't really "comedy." If you haven't seen it, "Shaun of the Dead" would be a great option.

Arioch

Not even close: "An American Werewolf In London" all the way, for about ten thousand reasons.. Question: why do movies that TBR has seen make the list? I personally want to see both TBR and Sam react to movies they haven't seen, it's better that way. He's seen three movies on this poll, including "Cabin In The Woods", which is almost tied for first place. "Creepshow" could be on that list, for instance. (All that said: "Princess Bride" and "Eternal Spotlight" were still great reaction videos!)

Tic Toc Melody

This is by far the most difficult poll you've put up.

Sean McDonough

Unfortunately, we have both seen it! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Don’t think you have reacted to it, but you should add Shaun of the dead to the poll, very funny from the same team as Hot Fuzz.

Lee

It is on our list :) -Sam

TBR Schmitt

We absolutely want to check out more John Carpenter! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

We were including it on past polls but it wasn't very popular with the patrons :( -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Planet Terror is on our list and I've added Death Proof! -Sam

An American Werewolf in London is an all-time fave and I loved it as a kid. Probably why I find werewolves the scariest of all classic monsters. It's already winning so I voted for Cabin in the Woods, which is pretty great itself.

JayWantsACat

I don't love that movie but if it's on TV I'll always stick around to see Salma Hayek

Shehab Dawoud

A favorite of mine! Loved it!

Rachael Albrecht

From Dusk Till Dawn (written by Quentin Tarantino and directed by Robert Rodriguez) is my favorite horror comedy of all time. Razor-sharp Tarantino dialogue, self-referential humor, vampires, Danny Trejo, George Clooney as a bad ass criminal, Cheech Marin in three roles, an undead mariachi band, an apocalyptic strip club... what's not to love?

Steven Montano

I agree.

Mr. Writhms

Oooo! Good choice! Although I’ll go a step further and suggest they do the Grindhouse double feature of Rodriguez’s Planet Terror and Tarantino’s Death Proof. Best time I ever had in a movie theater. 😎

Nick of Time

Let's go with American Werewolf so it's a first-time watch for both of you!

Future Boy

Big Trouble in Little China is probably my fave. Not sure if it's considered a comedy, but I crack up every time I see it.

Mike Adams

Not a horror comedy, but I’ll suggest The Blair Witch Project to anyone. It’s a staple for me every October.

Nick of Time

Robert Rodriguez' Planet Terror needs your reaction too 😉

David Lengyel

All of these are great! Can’t go wrong.
