It's funny that you think you "overanalyze" and "read into things". I LOVE hearing you break stuff down and try to work it out in your outros. It's especially entertaining when I remember having to do that with my husband as we watched the first time. We had a lot of the same conversations. I distinctly remember being super confused by True Detective for the first few episodes, but once things start coming together, you'll see why many people think it's the best season of TV ever. As always, thoroughly enjoying these reactions. I'm begging you to react to Deadwood, my all time favorite show.

Might be something interesting to look up when you're finished with this season. The show isn't based on a particular literary piece, but it's heavily influenced by a subgenre that the writer/creator is knowledgeable about.
