If you ever get the DVD, there's a great commentary track with Colonel McKnight, Captain Steele, Sergeant Everman, and one of the officers in the command helicopter.

2021-05-23 22:21:36 +0000 UTCI read the part where they had to repair the artery of that soldier was true. Like you said it was to be a very short extraction so they didn't have much med supplies. So yes the poor guy had to have that procedure done with absolutely nothing for pain.
