2021-06-13 20:57:20 +0000 UTCI definitely hope you all get into the works of David Lynch, but I don’t know if Mullholland Drive is the best place to begin that journey. Perhaps Twin Peaks could be one of the next TV series you watch. It’s fantastic and a great introduction to David Lynch. There are only 7 episodes in the first season so it’s a relatively small commitment getting started. Then there are two more full-length seasons with a prequel/sequel film in-between them.

2021-06-08 10:31:50 +0000 UTCI suggest Forrest Gump

2021-06-04 04:56:23 +0000 UTCAnother great drama suggestion for you: The Natural (1984)

2021-05-28 14:19:44 +0000 UTC100% to Do the Right Thing.

2021-05-21 17:08:08 +0000 UTC12 Angry Men had a masterful script. Paddy Chayefsky's writing was compelling and sometimes heartbreaking without ever seeming weak or being pretentious. Fonda, Klugman, Scott, etc. were all such great actors and to see them together in that film is an experience every movie lover should check out.

2021-05-20 20:01:43 +0000 UTCThanks! And totally agree about Rob Roy. Some of the most realistic swordplay in Hollywood (in my unprofessional opinion), and Tim Roth's portrayal of Archibald is totally on-point. One of the best villains ever (and by villain I mean person you hate with blinding heat).

2021-05-20 16:12:03 +0000 UTCAnd Do The Right Thing. You should definitely see Do The Right Thing.

2021-05-20 13:34:22 +0000 UTC12 Angry Men. I think you'd love it.
Neal Romanek
2021-05-20 12:55:01 +0000 UTCBoth of those are great. Rob Roy also has some amazing dueling scenes.
Neal Romanek
2021-05-20 12:46:05 +0000 UTCIt really is a shame that there aren’t more reaction videos to Mulholland Drive out there. It’s a movie that suits the format incredibly well imo.

2021-05-19 22:03:05 +0000 UTCAgreed! It sounds like The Godfather is going to be incredible. Can't wait! -Sam

2021-05-19 19:57:25 +0000 UTCYes! An Office & A Gentleman are on the list! I had them on the poll with a few others, but we decided to consolidate the list a little so it wasn't too many options. It'll make it up on a poll soon :) Thank you for the recommendation for Rob Roy as well! I don't think either of us have seen it. -Sam

2021-05-19 19:56:06 +0000 UTCHaha! So many great movies to watch! We'll do our best to get to them all. -Sam

2021-05-19 19:55:13 +0000 UTCComments just like this help us to either just pull movies right off for the channel and onto the schedule or we can consider different types of polls so we're giving all these films a chance :) so thank you! -Sam
TBR Schmitt
2021-05-19 19:54:11 +0000 UTCThank you for the recommendations, Nathan! Let's see, we have seen and loved Sully & Sicario! I haven't seen Pleasantville or Unbroken, and I will check with TBR Schmitt on those! -Sam

TBR Schmitt
2021-05-19 19:52:17 +0000 UTCThank you for the recommendation, Lee! I have not seen One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest! I'll check with TBR Schmitt, if he's seen it :) -Sam

2021-05-19 18:06:13 +0000 UTCOther than The Godfather it's the best on the poll.
Mike Tocci
2021-05-19 18:05:07 +0000 UTCGood point and a reason I don't love the whole polling system. It's fun to relive some classics but there's something to be said for discovering something different.
Mike Tocci
2021-05-19 18:04:27 +0000 UTCThe Godfather is an all time classic. Bot just because it's so well regarded but because it's actually great. Sometimes "classics" can be over valued and sentimentalized but Godfather is a truly great film in just about every facet. Directing, writing and acting all stand out as amazing and the film holds up to repeat viewings. There's always something new to consider.
Mike Tocci
2021-05-19 18:03:22 +0000 UTCFor drama, I'd love to see you react to either An Officer and a Gentleman or Rob Roy. :-)

2021-05-19 15:05:24 +0000 UTCThe Hustler is one of the best.
Neal Romanek
2021-05-19 10:51:40 +0000 UTCWhoa! That's like working with one of the original Knights Of The Round Table!
Neal Romanek
2021-05-19 10:47:46 +0000 UTCI'll be the only person to vote for MANCHESTER BY THE SEA, I don't care. But obviously THE GODFATHER has to win this. I like that A FEW GOOD MEN is making a showing.
Jason Dolan
2021-05-19 06:25:00 +0000 UTCMan, arthouse films like Mulholland Drive aren't going to do well in polls when they're pitted up against traditional Hollywood drama, but hopefully you'll get to it one day.

2021-05-19 04:03:54 +0000 UTCWow, this poll has some heavy hitters! If Scent of a Woman wasn't on this list, I would have a hard time choosing.
Brandon Royce
2021-05-19 03:09:32 +0000 UTCI also agree with A League of Their Own, perfect movie. If you haven’t seen Sully, Sicario, Pleasantville, or Unbroken I would highly recommend.

2021-05-19 00:50:12 +0000 UTCIt would be a crime not to do The Godfather.
Sean McDonough
2021-05-19 00:47:48 +0000 UTCYay! I’m glad you liked it too. I used to hide the vhs tape of Twister from my parents when I was a kid because it scared me so much then 😆 but as I got older I learned to love it and quote it often!

2021-05-19 00:21:47 +0000 UTCThanks Sam! John Dykstra (the vfx supe) was hilarious. Old school VFX legend. Worked on the original Star Wars and Star Trek films.

2021-05-18 23:55:25 +0000 UTCGodfather is iconic and a given, but I voted for 'Dead Poets Society'. Such a beautiful and emotional film with fantastic performances by all involved. Not sure if you guys have seen 'One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest' starring Jack Nicholson, but that would be so good to see on a future poll <3
Lee Brennan
2021-05-18 23:49:29 +0000 UTCThank you for the recommendation, Whitney! I've only seen (and loved) Twister from your list. I'll check with TBR Schmitt on what he's seen! Last Action Hero is definitely coming on our Arnold list :) -Sam
